I really didn't want to take DD to school today..but she really wanted to go....
And I lost my keys, somewhere. I backtracked all the way to the school, even the crosswalk guard helping me look, and my landlord is shoveling outside and keeping his eye open. But I cannot find my keys!!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Ugh...sorry to hear that. I would feel so lost without my keys (car, home, garage, work, etc.). Hope you find them soon.

Well, it's only 3 keys. My house key, in-laws house key, and the car key.
The cra key..no facking clue how to replace, without spending like $100. >.<
And all my awesome keychains.. I think I'm sadder about losing my keychains, than anything else.. I got half of them at Anime North, and then 1 is a Beauty and the Beast tea set in a Mrs. Potts keychain.
DD's school made an announcement, but no call back.. I think they're lost for good.

I'm getting more senile in my old age and started exploring electronic options.

There's also bluetooth options for shorter range.

Are there any shops that someone might have turned them in at? Maybe the police station?
Do you live in a high rise apartment building? Sometimes they will let you borrow a spare key for a week or so until you find the other ones before charging a replacement fee.

Is there a lower door in your apartment building? Sometimes I've forgotten the key in my door and walked away. If it's not outside, maybe it's in the hallways leading to your front door?
Or do you remember locking your door when you left this morning? Could you have left them in the apartment? I know "mommy brain" sometimes makes me forget the stupidest things.

Sorry, I'm just trying to come up with anything in case it's somewhere you haven't looked. Could it be in DD's school bag you might have slipped it into by accident?
It seems unlikely (but not impossible) that someone would have taken keys in a 20 minute window because they wanted the keychains. If so, that's terrible! Are there lots of people walking that street at that time in the morning?

Go to the police station and businesses on your walking route.I have taken lost keys and other items to the police and near by businesses.

I'll double-check her bag when I go pick her up, soon, but I really doubt it (doesn't hurt to look, though).
And it's great you're trying to help, thanks.
And no, not that many people. It's never really super busy in the morning (just the school kids walking, and not many unless it's afternoon), but with buses cancelled, I think a lot of kids were being kept home, so even less kids (like, I think maybe half of DD's class is there today).
I'm thinking DD kicked them out of my pocket, because I picked her up for a few minutes before we reached the crosswalk, because she was upset some snow got on her legs...

Absolutely no chance that you might have closed the door without locking it (with keys inside)? Bent over near bushes or anywhere that it might have fallen out of your pocket? Maybe call the police station every few hours? Post a poster near where you think you might have lost it?
