Surprised any market research firm would want its name in the media associated with Target Canada, a company now infamous for its poor understanding of the Canadian market.
Abuse coupons, not people!

Maybe if people feel the need to post Walmart info, in multiple threads that have nothing to do with Walmart, you could start a thread called Walmart News, or something? I don't care, because I won't be reading it. But please, don't post walmart related info in the Target clearance thread in particular, or here unless it actually relates to Target leaving Canada in some way.

That makes sense. With a lot of stuff coming from China direct to Canada, why pay to ship it across the country when you can sell it locally? My mom is in St. John's.. there's 1 Target. I would guess that will be one of the first to close and won't get a lot of new stuff.

Yes 3 Wonderful post's , which have a lot to with Target leaving Canada ..LOL . Please take your own advice.
My Target now has demo TV's - 40 % OFF , they are selling off the fixtures, so I guess they don't want them on the wall . Not sure if its worth buying them, not sure how long they have been sitting on the shelf.
Manuals are missing ( not that you need one ) , Remotes are missing in some cases & warranty cards. Not worth the risk , as its full & final sale . In general I hate buying demo or open box electronics, would rather buy them Factory Fresh.

Walmart's minimum wage increase in the US has nothing to do with Target Canada leaving, and I very much doubt WM Canada will base their wages on any decision made by Target
As prevously mentioned, WM Canada does not have the same level of employee related pay issues as the US, they have scholarships, benefits and flexible work hours. Sure there are many minimum wage jobs, but with the higher min wage in Canada and especially recent increases in Ontario - its doubtful ANY major store will be giving larger increases.
You are free to discuss WM's salary packages (and other off topic comments in Target threads posted by various people) - but start a thread to do so, this one is for Target liquidation news, Target store closings etc and many off topic threads in all of the Target threads are creating a lot of work for the mods
Just as I have asked several times for people to keep the Target chatter to this thread and not the red sticker uunadvertised deals threads.
It just frustrates people who open a topic to read what should be in that topic

My target was removing the 20-40% signs from the ceiling today. The remaining signs said upto 40% off.
i thought it was strange that they would remove those signs since they just put them up on Thursday.Join GROUPON for incredible deals, click here
