So not really understanding value of airmile points compared to Club Z points and Zeller products overall so am trying to figure out what is best for me.
I have enough airmiles for 6x$50 HBC gift cards.
I am looking at obtaining a digital camera. I have enough airmiles for several on the reward board but am wondering if it better to have the HBC cards and wait for a decent sale at Zellers. Would like between 12-14 mp, movie with sound function. Will be used mainly by tech savvy teens and myself occasionally.

Would love to have your points.
I learned from couponmummy's previous brags. I think she bought HBC gift cards. Then if your camera is a better deal at another store, like Future Shop, you buy Future Shop gift cards at Zellers using your HBC gift cards.
Or you can price match Future Shop at Zellers. Sometimes Zellers gives you a hassle.
If Zellers has a better deal on a camera, you can price match at Future Shop and get 10 per cent off. Use your Future Shop gift cards that you bought at Zellers.
Just some options....

Keep in mind that Zellers has the WORST return policy of any store EVER! (I worked customer service there for years!) If anything happened to your camera after 30 days you're out of luck. You would need to contact the manufacturer, and *if* they decided to help you, you would pay to send your camera away, wait weeks (or months) and tey would send you back yours, or a refurbished one.
It's up to you, gift cards are awesome, but if I was you I would use your gift cards for something else, and wait until a nice camera goes on sale at Wal-Mart or Future Shop.
Good luck!

I always redeem my airmiles for grocery gift cards only, for me this is the best value for airmiles. I would wait for a sale and pocket the grocery money I saved by getting airmile grocery gift cards.
Looking for FPC for almost everything. Growing teen boy eating me out of house and home. Visit my facebook page www.facebook.com/UneekCreations
Will trade finished product from my Etsy shop.

I live in BC and I have never seen grocery store gift cards on the airmiles site. Only Gap, Rona and HBC for the most part. A couple of restaurant ones too.
I have enough shopper points as well so may go that route. Only reason I am even thinking of buying a camera is that all 3 kids came home with the school photo packages(we would need the largest packs as lots of extended family and friends) and it would be cheaper in the long run just buy a camera and get some nice pics ourselves. One daughter thinks hers looks like she is a serial killer. The other daughter has her eyes closed in one of the takes. My son likes nice in his thankfully.

We didn't order all of the school pictures either. We sometimes went to Walmart, Zellers or Loblaws photo studio to take annual pictures. We went to whoever had the best photographers and took the best pictures, at the lowest cost.
We were weird. We didn't do pizza lunches either. My mother would make a pizza with healthy stuff on it and we would take to school for lunch. When we could we came home for lunch, especially on the days they wanted us to buy lunch. My mother hated the school lunches.
Don't get me started on the fundraising...

they're not doing it to stick it to the consumer, although that's how it seems.. the upper echelon is wearing blinders this year and all they care about is the bottom line.. it's allllll about the profit.. annoying, i know

I use my airmiles for merchandise....I have a credit card that gives me points and the deals on GC there are way better than on airmiles.

Perhaps there is someone who has gift cards for a store you would like to use who would trade them for a store yu want to use.. I've seen people posting to trade gift cards. maybe even local friends or family may be open to that.. or if you know someone who is going.. they could take the gc and give you cash.. it might be a way to let you use the money in a different store..
Awesome earnings btw...Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV
