Well for over 2 yrs my husband and I have talked about getting a dog for our family we just wanted to make sure the breed was a "right" fit and it was the "right" time in our lives. Well this Sat we did it we finally adopted our beautiful precious "lady" she is 17 weeks old and a coonhound-lab mix (she doesn't at all look or act like a lab) we got her from a lady that had a litter of 4 pups and just couldn't keep them. Our family and I feel so blessed to be able to provide a loving and dedicated "FOREVER" home to her and look forward to creating MANY MANY years of memories with her. I just needed to brag about this because we are so happy and feel so complete since we adopted her on Sat. Now to start collecting dog food coupons -- we have an apt on Wed at the vet to discuss the best food option for her as we are thinking about Blue buffalo and to get her first set of shots done. She was being fed PC Compliments food where we got her from so we are transitioning her slowly toward a more nutritional food. thx for listening

I know exactly how you feel. We got a kitten about 6 monthes back and we love him to pieces. Just hoping he feels the same way about the baby when it gets here. haha.
Congratulations to you and your family, a new pet is a wonderful experience!
For our cat we were thinking Blue too but we found a brand called Simply Natural. Its still pricey but not AS pricey as Blue and just as good. At least in the kitten food area. So you might want to look for it and check it out.<3<3 My girls are my wold <3<3
ALWAYS looking for Enfamil coupons good on Soy.

For my big dog (cross between 'Bouvier des Flandres' and 'Great Dane') I'm satisfied with Purina pro plan. It's a good product that my dog loves and we have less feces than Nutrience.

It takes more time, but making your own dog food from marked-down meat, yams, flax seeds and fish oil is less expensive and far healthier than any of the top brands. I personally know far too many people now who have eliminated 'incurable' conditions in their dogs and cats with raw food diets to consider giving anything else to a family pet.
You can't get coupons for vet bills.
