Lol...My hubby's been keeping me stocked up with Trop 50, apparently on sale there now; I've been going thru the stuff like water with this bronchitis! Nice haul, Hon!

I never really understood why Food Basics doesn't price match anymore. They used to about 2 years ago I think...why did they stop?

I had no idea they used to PM?? That is one reason I have to bypass them most shops. If I need one of their store brands and it is on sale I have to just go there though. Nice shopping coupon girl!!

There used to be a Food Basics near me a couple years ago...I remember price matching there all the time. They also used to give rainchecks for out of stock items with an additional 10% off the advertised price. I think they are still doing the raincheck thing?
(I found the old smartcanucks article here: http://smartcanucks.ca/food-basics-n...-new-policies/)
Anyway, a few months later, they shut down so I didn't shop at FB anymore. Fast forward 2 years, I happened to be in a different city to visit a friend and drove past Food Basics near her house. So of course I thought to drop in and went all giddy price matching, only to arrive at cash and be told they don't do it anymore. Whyyyyyyyyyy!! What's the deal here....are they doing really well that they don't need to compete with other major local retailers?Shop online often? Join ebates.ca to get cashback on your purchases!
