hmm ok.. i'll share a little tidbit/story..
my 5 brothers and sisters used to all dress up from my parents 'tickle trunk' basically a chest filled with odds and sods of clothes..
they'd each get dressed up for halloween. go trick or treating down and around the block.. come home.. and switch costumes with each other.. and do it again... 5x.. can you imagine.. and not one neighbor caught on.. at least they never admitted it. while this was going on.. the neighbors would TorT to each others houses with glasses to have wine etc.. and back then they never checked candy.. can you imagine.Be Strong
Be True
Be You.
Simple as that!

I met my husband 20+ years ago at a Halloween dance. A group of us poor University students decided to go to a dance each dressed as a letter of the alphabet and we were a few friends short of 26, so one of the group invited a few of his friends. "Z' is now my husband!
We had a blast spelling out words - the band got us to spell tequila quite a few times to get the crowd singing.......da da da da da da da da TEQUILA!!!

This is a story of Halloween past...a horror story.
Back when I was still wearing my 'Super Mom' cape I decided to make my children's costumes. My son's was cake and he was a cute little knight. My daughter's princess dress on the other hand was a nightmare. The material was hard to work with, the pattern was a *(($@ as well. To make a long story short, I got it done and the kids looked adorable.
We went trick or treating on my dad's street as the they were still young then and family wanted to see them. All was going well, until we went to house across the street from my dad's. The kids had just gotten their candy when I saw, much to my panic, the back of my daughter's costume had caught on fire. These IDIOTS!! had open flame candles on their porch by the doors. I frantically patted down the costume to put out the flame, but the material was synthetic of course and was melting and it stuck to my hand. Talk about PAIN! I still have scars on my pinky from where we had to pull off melted material -- and skin.

My 6 month girl is going as a cupcake and my son will be a dragon. I was trying to come up with a costume that would connect the two and came up with a candle. Lol not sure if people would get it?
Last year my son was Dracula and I was a vampiress(lol is that a word)

My last year trick or treating!
My girl friend and I went out as Babies with soothers pig tails and somehow we managed to find pajamas that were one piece that had feet and zipped all the way up with the button at the top now if that doesn't take you back....... It was the best halloween ever, we laid off the trick or treating a bit but still hit a few houses, until we were arrested by her BF who borrowed his Dad's Police uniform for the night!

My boyfriend and I always head over to his brother's place where their kids go out for Halloween! We usually order in food like pizza and wings and take the kids out. It's lots of fun and even I dress up sometimes! lol We stop half way through trick or treating to go back for hot chocolate to warm up and head out to the other side of the neighborhood. I love it!! Everyone super festive and friendly. I can't wait to go this year :D
