My plan was to buy some produce at RCSS then visit Target across the street. I only had a two hour window including travel time to get back home. Well, I didn't make it to Target thanks to meeting another couponner at the end of the aisle that had frozen veggies. There were 2 tables that had a variety of items and the prices were very good I would say. I was busy looking at sunscreen when a lady came by and started sweeping the Dare cookies. I said to her " Nice deals eh" and with the cheeriest face she replied" it's even better because I have coupons". I replied " me too, can I get a high five?" We high fived each other and started chatting away. She offered me 2coupons for cookies but I declined because everyone I know is into healthy eating etc. She mentioned that she buys stuff cheap and donates to food bank and family and that she gets free stuff all the time. She then asked me if I know that I can get an item free if it scans incorrectly and I said yes,I am familiar with SCOP and that I'm lucky in that regard sometimes. She then mentioned that she had gone to Loblaws earlier and got bread for $0.10.Gosh she was so excited and happy with her deals. I pointed her to the Glad bags that were marked down and she grabbed a box of the big orange ones (I got one also). She wanted to know where I got the Glad cpn for and I mentioned it was from Smartsource. I then told her about Smartcanucks.ca , she took notes and says she will have her husband check it out as she doesn't do computers , LOL. I was so excited to see Herbamare seasoning cheaply priced so I pointed them out to her and she got couple bottles well. She noticed small size Keebler pie crust and showed me. I told her I'd go back & get a few with my coupons( I was going to trade them). She got couple boxes of truffles that were marked down to $1..Im not sure how much time had passed; I noticed that other shoppers were looking in our shopping carts and looked at us as we chatted. We had to part and said our pleasant goodbyes.
I got to the cashier(one of the nicest ones there) and cashed out (after allowing a shopper with 1 item go ahead of me) . I redeemed $40 thanks to PC points so my OOP was pretty good. Here is a list of what I bought.
1 x 750 ml Rotkappchen Sparkling Non-Alcoholic white wine $3.74, Reg ~$8.99 (expires 2017 )
6 x 213g CL Sockeye Salmon @1.97 ea ,Reg $4.69 ea (PM Freshco)
2 pkgs Betty Crocker Bisquick buttermilk biscuit mix @ $.84 ea.(was on clearance table, didn't see original price but seems reasonable, right?)
1x 968 ml bottle Neutrogena SPF 60 sunscreen lotion @ $4.24, Reg. $13.99(but expires 12/15-I've always wanted to try this brand though)
2 x 30 pk Glade kitchen Catchers with Febreeze(tall) @ $2.04 ea, Reg $5.99 + 2 x $1.50 cpns
1x 20 pk Glad bags(XL) @ $3.24,Reg $9.99+ $2.00 cpn
5x 90g bottles Herbamare seasoning @ $1.04 ea, Reg $4.49 ea
3 x 540g Green Giant Valley Selection frozen vegetables @ $1.97 ea(PM NF)
1 x 355ml Omega Nutrition organic apple cider vinegar @ $3.99(to use as part of my healthier lifestyle; the only item I bought at regular price..waaay cheaper than in nearby Fortinos)
1 x 200 ml Kraft shredded parmesan cheese,sale $4.98 +$1 cpn
bosc pears @ $.98/lb(PM Ample)
Royal Gala apples @ $.98/lb(PM Ample)
Hot house tomatoes @ $.77 sale
3 bunches broccoli @ $.97ea(PM NF)
1 bunch kale @ $1.99 ea sale
I must say that I am pleased with my shopping today...and it was fun meeting a like minded stranger, a couponner ..I will check out Target before this week ends. This thread is currently associated with: Apple, Fortinos, FreshCo, Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Shoppers Drug Mart, Smart Source, Target

What a nice brag. And it's lovely to meet someone likeminded.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
