I scop'd something lastnight, and the cashier was new and I told her about scop and she said ummm, no I think I just adjust the price. Another employee who was helping me earlier with my pictures who seemed knowledgable walked by and I sasked, and she said yes it called Scop and explained it to the cashier. I wanted to say, should you not be trained on this when you start as an employee?

The training is not an issue to me it is more the fact that the cashier was so angry that I would ask for this.I am going to call head office on Tuesday because I am sick of cashiers giving me attitude when this is the policy that thier store has chosen to adhere to!

I scop'd at wm a week or 2 ago. She did it on her own. I wasn't even thinking of it, I thought she was just going to adjust the price but she gave it to me for free.

It isn't just SCOP that they get pissy about it is EVERY type of discount. I get soo much attitude when I use my coupons, once in a while I get a Cashier who is completely amazing and doesn't complain at all, some cashiers even love to see my savings as they ring it through. It is very important to pick your cashier if at all possible.

I went to SDM for Listerine deal (not last flyer but flyer before that) the cashier said I picked up the wrong listerine after I checkd all of them I told her that may be they were out of stock then as I don't see any other kind and she gave me attitude saying well you should've came earlier ..????? Seriously? Then I asked her if she could give me a raincheck, she stared at me for few secs and said .... urrggg welll if you ask. I DID ask!!!! The she took the listerine out of my hand and threw it on the ground
I almost cried I hate poeple who has nooo manners I'm never mean to anyone
I asked her for her name as she was wearing a sweater and she quickly moved it and covered so I couldn't see her name tag. I decided never to go back to that SDM I have no time to go during day to complain to a manager but it's not fair

If you were from the same town I'm from, I'd think it was the same cashier. Someone did that to my mom and got snippy with her before throwing her things! I was so mad!!
(All she did was question the price of a purchase and try to use a coupon. Then when she was told she couldn't use the coupon, she said she didn't want the item.)
If happened to me, I probably would have gotten upset and left. If I was with my mom, I would have been seriously cranky and hauled the manager over. Beatings will be handed out!!
Seriously, how can they talk to nice customers like that and throw things on the floor?!
You can call in and let them know the time and till she was working at. It's probably recorded on your raincheck. If you can describe her, they'll probably know exactly who it is. She's supposed to be representing the company to customers in a courteous and professional manner and I don't think SDM likes having their merchandise thrown on the floor either.

SDM is very popular with the horrible attitude! Avoid it like the plague, unless it's 20X the points or bonus redemption, LOL!

Is there somewhere to find out exactly how the "Scop" works? I bought a shirt for my daughter at walmart and the tag on it said $3 but it was regular $10. I got home and then realized. I took it to walmart the next day to get my $7 back and they told me no it was mistakenly priced $3 and wouldn't do anything about it. So I just returned it because I had thought it was on sale.

^^^^^ You wouldn't get a SCOP on the shirt because it had a price tag on it, but regardless, you were suppose to get it for the marked price...wrong or not!

If there is a marked price, wrong or not, that is the price the store is to give it to you for. It could be a price tag, or on the shelve, doesn't matter. Only exception is errors in a flyers if they post a correction notice. I pm'd you about SCOP.
I went to buy something at Coles the other day that was on a table with a sign that said everything $5 and it came up as $8 something. One girl said, we have to give it to her for that, the other 2 said no, so I left without it. It's one thing if you can tell something doesn't belong there because some customer just threw it there, but it wasn't the only one.Last edited by leda; Fri, Oct 21st, 2011 at 11:41 PM.
