Unless they are having a desperately slow news day, I doubt the media is going to waste the time & money on a story that will not get much readership.
I'd recommend that you simply stop shopping there if it's that much of a problem.

I think it is a good idea but more a letter to the editor in a popular paper because stores give us a hassle for using them when it is their employees make it a bad thing because they do not know policies and then the store loses money and that is where the negative experience comes from on both part.

I don't think the media is the right place. They're just going to think you're one of those TLC extreme couponers who couldn't get 700 tic tacs that day and want to complain.
LF: Chapman's ice cream and Dare coupons.
DS has a peanut allergy so it's the ONLY ones we buy.
Lots FT.

Honestly, Forget it if all of us went to the media everytime we had a problem using coupons, thats all the media would ever hear..we will ALWAYS have someone who is agaisnt us saving money for our families, but you have to remember at the end of the day it's not the rude CSM's or cashiers who walk away with lots of stuff for way cheaper than what they would have to pay. Wal-Mart will not change because someone wrote to the media about it, there have been many things in the paper about Wal-Mart...for example last week there was an article about a women who was pushed by accient while a floor walker ran after a couple who were stealing..the lady felt the floor walker should have been fired, and should be made to at least say sorry. The floor walker still works for Wal-Mart and never said sorry, nothing changed. Also I don't think people in your area would like that as Wal-Mart could look at every couponer they see and think, it might have been that person who wrote to the media about us. Two Wrongs dont make a right.
If a store doesn't want to provide you the service you believe you deserve you don't have to shop there, and it is still possible to get the deals in the Wal-Mart flyer by price matching Wal-Marts flyer at Zellers or another store.Last edited by 98PERCENTOFF; Fri, Oct 28th, 2011 at 05:21 PM.

I agree with all the others....
All of us come across a bad couponing store at one time or other, think of it as a learning experience, and take your shopping & your dollars elsewhere.
By involving the media you need to keep in mind, that chances are you and other couponers especially those in your area will be painted in a bad light.

Same opinion with the others. I will just go to another store to use my coupons. It will be a waste of time complaining, arguing, talking to them on the phone.. if everytime you go to their store and they still give you a hard time on couponing.

I guess I am the loner here but I would stay involved in your WM battle.
I too have major issues with my local WM (and WM in general) but I am not going to quit shopping there. WM is a monster of a corporation with $421 billion in revenue and 2 million employees (85,000 in Canada). I feel that walking out won't make a difference to their profits or their policies.
Stay professional and stick to the facts. Carry the WM coupon policy and remember...
Walmart is committed to giving Canadians the best shopping experience in the marketplace by delivering everyday low prices, exceptional customer service, top-quality merchandise, and extensive community involvement, philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.
