My garden ended up ok. I have lots of tomatoes, a couple of green peppers ( a bunny has been eating them) and a couple of honeydew melons. I had quite few peas but not as many or as nice as last year and lots of green beens, too many in fact!

This year a lot of my flowers have been devastated by Japanese beetles! It is breaking my heart, I worked so hard weeding and placing everything and then as soon as they bloomed they were attacked! I read that chives and onion plants can help keep them away so I moved some close to the worst eaten plants and it seems to kind of be helping but it us just such a shame!
I hate the japanese beetles too, it destroyed my rose flowers. I did see them on my Gongura plants as well

This is my first time growing lab lab beans, I started the seeds indoors as well. How tall of a trellis do they normally need? I bought some trellises at Dollarama that are about 4 feet but it is looking like it will not be tall enough.

Lab lab beans grow 8-10 feet tall and spread 3-6 feet.

June 7. Already a pretty red cherry Tom. What a crazy season. All the herb pots are huge also and cherry Tom and early girl Tom very large. Then the arugula has been eaten for a couple of meals now. So nice to grab what you want when you want.

The cherry tom was enjoyed today! June 08 2021 ... earliest ever. Always expect the lower hanging fruit to be eaten. I also put down copious amounts of chicken poo pellets on the soil in the pots. They hate it and stay away and it helps, for the toms, to prevent blossom rot on the big toms.
