tax credit not showing up...

ok, so I had applied for that credit. but it did not show up in my acct.this am....
ugh... and double ugh.

does anyone know the link I can go to to fix this.


and hopefully get the money next month.... sigh,,,

Mine didn't either - when I went online and looked it shows that electronically it will be processed from 20 August. I am wondering if because the first payment is 6 months backdated to 1st Jan if they are mailing cheques? Might be worth waiting for the mail before you contact them.

If you already receive direct deposit it will be direct deposited. Perhaps if you recently applied it will take longer.

I recently applied and it sounds like @Giseledta is in the same situation. It will be nice when it arrives!

I had applied when my kids were smaller.... my youngest is now 13..... should I reapply..... did not think I needed to since I get the other credit that comes on the 20th...

The way I read it and interpreted the adverts is that if you were already getting credits then you didn't need to apply for it, it would be paid automatically. I wasn't getting anything for my children so I had to apply from scratch.

As you are already getting credits it would be worth calling and seeing what they say. I am assuming ours is bogged down with all the other new applicants.

I just googled it and found this article and it talks about cheques being sent (although this is in Ontario), so might be worth waiting for the mail before you call:

My son is 17 and I received benefits years ago and then our income was too high to receive an more. I did not reapply because it clearly states on the website that if you ever have received benefits you should automatically receive the benefit. I did however update my banking information about 3 months ago because the account I used for direct deposit years ago was not active.I received my deposit this morning. I believe there was a place on your income tax returns to check off if you were to receive it.
