i'm thinking of you guys but i've been very very busy and still = moving mom, some days spent at hospital, many appointments for me and mom and the bigger job , preparing mom'S home so she can sell it......big job getting rid of more than 60 years of stuff....
asked my brothers what they want, souvenirs ,etc / deciding what to keep for myself
getting rid of old papers
getting rid of past dates things
preparing stuff to donate/ sell/ or trash
very long process......the only help is my DH , as personnal papers can't be left to strangers
though mom told me to hire someone to help me.....
and we need to do some work in our home too
doing that teach us a lesson, do we need that much stuff ????
on the other hand, my conclusion is '' human being are minded to cumulate things ''
sorry, hoping everything is doing well for all of you friends
see you
p.s.: still haven't found the quadriporter bill
pp.s : mom is almost herself now , not as mixted up than she was few months ago, we can have good chat togetherThis thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Mia001; Tue, Aug 4th, 2015 at 09:56 PM.

Hi Mia!
Nice to see you back.
Sounds like you've been a busy! I know what you mean about helping your mom move. My in-laws are in the same position; their ready to retire and hoping the sell and move soon.
Don't be a stranger, drop in a say hello more often!
Take care of yourself.DANGER

I do agree, we are a society of collectors! No one understands the impact until they have to purge a parents home of all their things, you sure sound like you have plenty to do Mia. Take care, thanks for dropping by with an update!

i didn't know how emotionnal it would be for me to do this job......hoping to get to the end of the tunnel soon
i'm my parents only kid in town....though i donate a lot and lot boxes of stuff, there still are many things that are still mine....
hoping i'm not too boring.....
P.S.: didn't i say , whenever i'm finished at moms, i'll do the same at my home and get rid many things.....i don't want to pass the job to someone else.....Last edited by Mia001; Sat, Sep 19th, 2015 at 11:53 PM.
