You can find all kinds of wackos in Walmart. Why? I have no idea. Recently a guy was unhappy with customer service and pepper sprayed the employees. And some of the customers got hit with the spray as well. Wackos everywhere!!!

Wackos indeed. A few years ago I saw a customer throw a bedding set at the Walmart cashier after some arguing and then just walked away!! All of us in line just stared at the customer with our dropped jaws. I feel sorry for cashiers who have to deal with ignorant and rude customers.

People can be very scary ..... never know when they just might have some mental health issues or be off their meds.....
Lecale is right in that we see it on the roads all the time .... someone in a rush that constantly tailgates.... best offence is a good defense - just get out of their way.
Cashiers definitely need good training in how to diffuse those kinds of situations - like simply having the sign put up that their lane is closed; calling for another lane to open when they close off theirs.
Sorry it happened to you cinpow. Hang in there

I am sorry this happened to you. Cashiers definitely need more training! I worked for Walmart before. I was put on the till with NO training. A csm (I think) stood behind me for a couple minutes my first time, then she left me there all alone. I did have prior cash experience at my last job, but she did not even teach me how to use the paging system if I needed help.

Don't feel bad, you did what you could! Poor planning on the store's part and jerks mixed to make that situation happen.
I get into fights with checkout jerks every now and then. Last time, it was a dude who cut in line in front of a 90ish year old man with a walker who could barely stand. Everyone in line was staring but no one else thought the need to shame him the jerk out of line.
I hate how people will stare but not speak up when someone is being treated badly. Glad the store manager did in your situation, but where was Walmart security?Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

I agree with the Costco cashiers, they are horrible at my store. They act like they are doing me a favour for ringing my order through.I always say hello, how are you today and 90% of them just glare at me. I can't believe I don't see more people losing patience.

Why is someone else's time more important than your money ?
You are using coupons to save your money & someone else ( behind you ) is angry bcoz he/she thinks you are wasting his/her time .
Turn around & Ask them "what makes you think your time is more important than my money ?"...they can pay you in cash for the cpns you are using if they want & then you won't use the cpns if they really want to speed up things ..LOL.
"I have $ 20 in cpns, feel free to pay the cashier $ 20 bucks on my behalf, and I will gladly throw these cpns in garbage right in front of you ! That should speed things up " .." Do you want to take up on that offer ?" That should shut them up and embarass them in front of everyone
They can go to a self checkout , shop online or use the express lane or whatever when they shop @ various stores if they don't have the patience and time

That is just low-down and awful. Why did they feel the need to open their fat yaps at all? I've never been in a store lineup that took *SO LONG* that I was compelled to openly complain, and rudely at that, over someone trying to save a few bucks, and a cashier struggling to input the right codes. What a couple of horse's asses!
... if I'd been in that lineup, the fight would have been between me and Bigmouth, I'd have defended you and the cashier to the death
