My husband and pals got 3 moose last week, we pretty much live on moose sausage all winter. Makes excellent stew in a slow cooker - honestly can't tell the difference between it and beef. Congratulations!

my hubby hunts adn he went a few months ago and we have a whole moose in our freezer, we also hunt deer adn fish. got 15 sockeye this year and a bunch of pinks and trout. and hoping to get a chicken coop next year. i love it! its pretty much organic meat adn not pumped full of hormones and other stuff and saves us probably thousands a year.

Mmmm, moose jerky is soooo good. The best was in 5 spice teriaki marinade.

awesome!
Between a large veggie garden, some fruit trees and the fall hunt...you can almost eliminate paying for food altogether. Free vegetables, free fruit, free meat, free fish.
