Where are you located? Try to find a local computer supply place (the kind that computer nerds like to frequent )...you don't need to buy brand-named cables. I was shocked at how much FS, BB and LD charge for their cables and accessories.

Places like Memory Express, or in my case, OTV Technologies in SK, have their price lists online, and I find they have the best value.

You can check their prices to compare with what you can find locally.

I've picked up cables at RCSS for less than most computer stores sell them.

    http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp

In the search bar just search HDMI Cables ... 1 6Ft Cable is about $3.50US there is shipping charges too and it's about $6 .... it's cheaper at the end and it has higher quality then most cheaper places.

If its for short distances (Under 15 feet), the quality of the HDMI cable doesn't matter. If you pay anywhere over 10$ for a 6 feet HDMI cable, it means its overpriced. I've bought some of them for 2,50$ off ebay and they work just as good as any other HDMI cable. (The only downside about the eBay ones would be that they would break easily if manipulated too much but that is not my case)

Try monoprice.com I've ordered a lot of cables from them including HDMI's. They are cheap and very good quality.

I agree that there's no need in paying obscene amounts of money ($40 or more) on HDMI cables. But also be aware of what grade of HDMI cables do what you plan to use them for.

If you plan to use 3D or operate network functions through them, you're going to want a high-speed and higher grade cable. -- I dont care what anyone says, HDMI cables are not all created equal. I've burned out Amazon Essential cables buy running 3D and such through them.

Monoprice is an excellent suggestion, and they even have videos explaining why you might want the higher grade cables. Their prices are still great, and you can get a few cables for the same shipping cost as one.
