Thanks Natalka for the contest! I am kind of sad for Thanksgiving this year. It's our first holiday without my Nanny. My mom is coming and staying the night, which has kiddo really excited as she has never been able to do that before when my Grandma was still around. I think we'll just be ordering some take out tonight and saving our turkey for tomorrow. She actually went and cooked a turkey this morning without telling me so luckily I hadn't taken mine out to thaw yet!

I figured I'd cave and buy a good bakery pie from Zehrs, but they had so many they had non-expired ones on the expired rack. so I came away with two for the price of one. Oh, and let's not mention the $2.49 cashews

we made it to parents... Glad I wasn't driving.... The rain was insane! Its never good when you hear the driver say "where did the road go" on the highway because it was flooded in sections

We spent yesterday afternoon at my parent's. It was a beautiful drive with all the leaves on the trees showing off all their fall colors. We stopped and watched three doe in a cornfield until something spooked them and off they ran. It has been awhile since I have watched deer leaping and playing with not a care in the world.
We had a super visit and my father looks so much better at home now as he had been in the hospital since August 15th. So relieved that he made it through it all except for a slight sight problem and a little memory loss.
