Thread: 22 month old girl diarrhea for a week now

    my daughter 22 month old girl has diarrhea for a week now. Any advice? I took her to the doctor and now waiting for stools test results

    OH, my, she must be so ill and weak. Did doc give nutritional guidelines, like pedialyte, BRAT diet, etc.?
    Other symptoms the doc is concerned about?

    Hoping she is better soon!

    Thanks Natalka, actually she is pretty active so I think that's a good sign. No the doctor hasn't given her anything yet we are going to take her to the doctor again tomorrow. The Doc is only worried about parasite problem hence the stool test.

    That is good. Could also be a food intolerance (e.g. lactose) - those can pop up at any time.

    Is she vomiting too? Could it be norovirus? Try giving her a bland diet and most of all make sure she is well hydrated
