I'm thinking of buying a printer. But there are many choices and the ink seems to be expensive. It'd be nice to print coupon at home. Is it worth it to buy a printer? What type? Wireless?

yes printers are very useful .. for printing coupons

i just brought a Samsung laser printer.
very basic but its laser and can connect with wifi.

    i brought from best buy. i think about 40ish- 50 $$ ?

laser printers ink is more long lasting.. and doesn't dry out like other inks.
but the refill are more expensive .
for mine. it is around 75 $ from best buy.
but i am going to get a generic one that is compatible with Samsung. for $40 .

overall i think laser printers are better

We have an HP all in one - and it's a workhorse, let me tell you. VERY cheap on ink, which is wonderful.
Got ours on sale for about $30 - I can't find any that cheap right now.

Ours isn't wireless though - this one is a good price

I found Epson printers very very good.
I bought Epson printer Epson stylus nx230 for $30 at Walmart 2 years ago,it's colour printer, copier and scanner.
And most amazing thing is that I can buy its ink from eBay just for $10 and it lasts more then 6 months and I enjoy coloured printing on a very low price,,,

Fair warning, with some of the new HP printers it will detect a refilled ink cartridge or a generic one and won't allow it to work.

There's an HP Photosmart printer at home (not that I'm using it to print anymore) and it flashes a message when an old but still in HP package ink container is popped into an ink cartridge slot. Have to press two buttons to lose that message every time.

glad you found your printer. i find samsung works best for me.

key to any good printer is getting a reliable "laserjet" printer that last a long time and the toner doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

$50 printer, $75-100 toner you have to change every 6 months hurts!
