Granger - I change my avatar with the holidays/occasions
That photo is of my Dad when he got one of his degrees. He had gone to Normal School/Teachers' College when he was done high school (had to leave his village and come to the city to board and go to high school), then went out teaching. He married my mom (she was a teacher as well), they started having kids.
He became a principal - and at some point in the late 1950s they moved from small town to the big city so he could go to university to get his BA and BEd - he would have been in his late 30s - then they moved back to small town. Later he was one of the first to become a Superintendent locally employed by a city school division - and that city we moved to is the one I grew up in. He had retired at the age of 57, after 38 years as an educator. (He passed away when he was 66, in 1987)
