I am having terrible luck with Duracell copper top batteries. Several have leaked inside clocks, sensors, etc. with damage to the units. As well they have leaked in the original packaging and don't seem to last as long as they used to.
I now use Energizer batteries and so far no problems. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by barbis9; Sat, Dec 31st, 2016 at 12:19 PM.

Do you have pictures of the leaking batteries that you could post?

We had the same issue a year or so ago we have now switched to Energizer and Kirkland (Costco's brand) and have not had any further issues

I'd check to see if they had any type of warranty or guarantees. You shouldn't have to replace items because of faulty batteries.

I tossed the batteries into hardarzous recycling as they were leaking really badly and didn't take any photos.

Dump them. Batteries contain hazardous chemicals.

Pretty amazing that a almost 2 year old post still gets new replies
