Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Hello everyone!

I pulled off an excellent pot roast today which I shared with my friend. But I even had to make substitutions be cause I had forgotten that I went through my spices and tossed all the ones that had expired. I also don't have ketchup except for a few little sacks of ketchup that I got when I ordered out last week. I also didn't have a few of the other ingredients from the "Roast of Christmas Past" recipe from Looney Spoons recipe book.

But it tasted very good.

Just tidied up the kitchen, time to catch up on a few posts.
HELLOOO @Patty Smyth !!! Neo is adorable. @winstar I can understand your boredom, it has happened to all of us i think.
Movies help me to crush a few hours.

I sauteed " man sized " onions ( DH was my chopper, so? ) along with the last of the shrooms. Hand deep fried the last 8 spuds ( love that quickie chopper thingy that makes fries fast ) and served hamburg patties up with that stuff.
DS made a valiant effort at adding a small salad to his plate, DH chose 2 long sliced B & B pickles and some sliced cucumbers as his " veg " .
I was still full from lunch but there is always " later ".

Thanks @walkonby again for posting the Jenny Jones bread recipe it came out perfect my family loved it. @Lynn49 you were right it didn’t matter about the brand of flour

I'm sure if you need any recipe we've likely prepared it some time during all our years of cooking...50 for me, this year! Hahaha!!

oh your very welcome @flemeth , you know when I " discovered " that darn recipe eh? It was when I was on Dr. Poon's no carb diet and I tossed my hands in the air, like GREAT, another thing I am not supposed to eat.
Being forced to stay inside 24/7 has changed that. ha ha
So glad your family enjoyed it.
