Good morning gang. I will also submit and resist the urge to head out to a grocery store, as we don't NEED anything, I just want to get out. Thank you @Lynn49 for mentioning the Mongolian beef you made the other day.
It's weird but I don't think I have ever seen Flank steak in my travels. I have certainly never searched it out for any recipe.
I just looked up the other names it can be sold by in stores. ( skirt steak, London Broil )
Anyways, I made a batch using your recipe last night. I had not planned on doing that but....yesterday I only went out to buy gas and hit ONE store....No Frills.
In the fresh meat section I see these hard clear plastic containers with " grass fed, la-dee-da Australian Flank Steak " in them.
Was this a sign that I was meant to make some? I bought just one pkg. Yikes...it was 35.00 per kg!!, so in good conscience I only picked up one $14.00 pkg.
I cut the sauce recipe in half to match up with the meat and reduced the sugar as you had recommended. We had it over plain Basmati rice. So darn tender ( the meat ) and yummy. It will be all gone today, DH is taking a serving in for his work meal.

I was going to rant on about the temperature until I saw your post that you were only at -24 and not -40. That said, I am will complain instead as it's indeed too cold to go out and yet I need to so I won't seize up and hurt more than I already do!! grr!!
Anyhow I will endeavour to explain to the cat why my chair is my chair and not his, and will move him to only have him say something and then need to watch it all day. It's kinda like the Flintstones ending where Fred puts the cat outside and then the cat puts Fred outside.
Fellow people I notice that there are many visitors to this thread and I'm wondering if it's because it's like a soap opera here or a smidgen of what life is like in the outside world.Not complaining or criticising just pondering(Pinky are you pondering what I'm pondering?...)
