Throwback Thursday:
I can't even think of this date as April Fool's, because it's the date my +Dad was ordained a Deacon. It was an extremely special day!
He had retired at age 57 from being a director of education and countless years of teaching - 38 in all. "Secretly" he began his studies to become a Deacon, took two years. He surely had the faith, commitment, intelligence, plus an amazing voice (our liturgies are sung). He had been a cantor and choir director previously.

After our blizzard of a few days ago, temps have been just above zero. Today, it's supposed to be 16!
@Lynn49 - my problem is not in the getting of transport - I can get in our van easily - but in getting TO the van. Let alone that there are five steps out of the house, I can only take several steps walking - so that's why I can't go anywhere.
Geez, you guys are really behind for vaccines - 60 years and up have started here yesterday. Yup, we housebound peeps just have to wait. Husband goes next Wednesday.
We have all groceries bought for the weekend. Hopefully husband will blanche the cabbage today so the leaves can go in the freezer for a few days.
I don't have to worry about making something sweet for Easter - my men would rather have a bit more ham or some kubasa! I did, however, have my husband get some Easter cookies from my fave bakery.
Ciao for now, have a great day!
