good afternoon all. Happy Good Friday!! Watched a weird clip about Peeps. Yup, those marshmallow goodness treats that people either love or hate. I'll share the video because it had almost the same calming effect on me as watching fish in a tank.

DH and I put our brains together last night and decided upon a pork loin thing for an Easter dinner, so I'm making up both a Sweet Tea brine and a Dry Rub for the roast.
The Sweet tea marinate will be approx. 6 hrs. in the fridge, then the dry rub goes on, 2 more hours resting in fridge, then slow cooking in a low oven, then a searing in a cast iron pan on all sides.
Last step is pouring the bourbon sauce over.
Quite the process....well there is nothing else going on, we're in another lock down.

Errands are done and I am very pleased with that.There is always a tomorrow for baking and others things like cleaning.!!! :) Happy long week end!!! :)

Hello, all!

Quiet day here, I seemed to be catching up on bits of sleep, which even surprized my husband. It's a good thing.

Wrote out a master list of what to do in the next two days. Even though there are only three of us, we still want to hold on to traditions.

I sure miss the church services, especially some beautiful pieces of music only sung on certain days. The two churches and Cathedral have services online - the first two only in English, the Cathedral does bilingual.

There is just something 'not right' with English translations from Ukrainian - they cannot match the melody, not the appropriate tone...

One of the most beautifully mournful (if you know what I mean) services is that of Plaschanytsia, which is the shroud of Jesus - every church has a replica which is placed over the front altar and venerated.

Good morning all.

It’s kind of Chilly out but still went out for my morning walk. My region did not fully got out of lock down since the Christmas Break and now we are on Shut down.

Did some baking yesterday afternoon .
Today will be a quiet day here . Guess I will be watching some Netflix I got hooked on The series Orange is the new Black just on Season 4 .

I made my brocoli apple salad and my pineapple cake they are so good.Dishes are done too so that is a bonus!!! :) Tomorrow I want to make a patato salad we shall see.

Well, we sure didn't get as much done as we planned to, or wanted to...
Honestly, the two of us are like the blind leading the blind...(no offence)
We will just have to see what we can cobble together later. At least my husband has been able to sleep - it's 2:30 now and I haven't yet.
