Good morning everyone it's Friday almost the weekend . Have a great day all
Morning gang.
Super quick drive into the city this morning. That the one thing I actually like about Friday morning commutes...it's always a quick one!
Have a wonderful day peeps, TGIF!

@cabmonk wow, that was stressful! I am glad they found nothing wrong ( heart related ) whew! I wonder if carrying all the groceries up in those many trips caused you to get that pain? Have fun making your curry dish.
I'll head out soon to redeem another 95 AM at Metro to earn 50 BAM back. Love those offers. ( can only do one per AM account over the 4 days though Jan 18-21 ) , then off to deposit my Caddle cheque, hit NF, FB and maybe WM if I still have the energy.
Brrr it seems chilly outside again.
@Lynn49 congrats on your first day back to the grind. I'll join you on the wagon soon, no sense kidding myself to start now as we still have 2 more b'days to get past....hopefully it will be smooth and dedicated sailing right through the Spring and into the Summer! Fingers crossed.
Thanks @walkonby I don't know but I think it could have caused it. I was really feeling it after bringing up all those bags. Every reusable shopping bag was stuffed to the max and was beyond heavy especially all the cans lol. At least I got a good doctor and a couple good nurses helping. I saw other nurses with not such good bedside manners. You could tell they were annoyed with a couple of the older patients they were dealing with. The people dealing with me were friendly and all smiles. i said sorry I talk too much and the nurse said don't worry I do to lol. When I said it might just be stress or anxiety one of them said don't worry her husband is the same way and is always at the doctor because he says he thinks he's having chest pains or something and always worries too. The ones dealing with some of the other patients couldn't wait for them to shut up.
Are you a Leafs fan @cabmonk? Maybe you are stressing over their imminent demise once again ... :P The main thing is you are OK... the Leafs on the other hand ... :P
Good morning everyone.
Glad to hear your feeling better @cabmonk !!

I'm not a hockey fan at all actually lol but I am wearing a leafs hoody right now. I just like the way it looks but it was like $130..I used to have a Columbus Blue jackets jersey but again not because I like the team lol.
:P
Good morning!!!
@cabmonk , never be reluctant to head to emerg when something like that happens. Meanwhile, there's still time to change eating habits, a sedentary lifestyle if those are concerns, and get on with living a long, full life. Kids can get away with stuff that anyone over the age of 30 finds they can't anymore.....Good for you, for heading in and it wasn't a wasted day, as I see it, you were caring for yourself, and that's a pretty darn good day! :)
@walkonby , yep, we hope to see you soon on our "losers" thread, but boy do I know about celebrations and how they burn holes in our plans to get healthier. I mean, they shouldn't, but jeepers, they just do, don't they??
Everyone, have a wonderful balmy day!! We're past the half-way mark in January already, can spring be far away??!!
Maybe....72 days until EASTER!!

@Lynn49 Oh I know for sure good to get checked out. I am trying to not just sit around. It has been so cold though around here but even if I can't go for a walk I try to use my pedal exerciser at home. I think it was mostly stress and strain and good to know my blood pressure at the end of the day was actually in the normal range. It was on the high end of normal but that could have still gone down a bit later since I was probably still a little stressed when they took that last reading. :)
Oh, absolutely, @cabmonk, stress and nervousness can play havoc with BP...it's called "white collar hbp", hahaha...being in a vicinity of a doctor can do that to anyone. :) Still...that chest pain...could have been something simple like indigestion, upset tummy...or a heart attack. :-~ Good that you got it checked out and that your BP regulated itself. I've been on BP meds for a thousand years now...seems to run in the family but thank goodness DD's is just fine, like her Dad's, who runs 127/72 consistently, the brat. I've spiked to almost 200/120 - ish when it was out of control, but I'm fine now on these meds. Losing weight will absolutely help, also and just before my stupid fall I was even taken off one of them, so fingers crossed! :) Stay well, Hon!
Sounds good thanks. Yeah I always stress myself out lol. I'll see if one day I need BP meds. I went to the doctor 17 years ago because I thought it might have been my heart and even back then nope it was fine. ;)
@cabmonk when it comes to your health it's never a wasted day. Glad you went and get checked out. You should always listen to your body and never feels if you think things are out if wack to wait it out that's why we have our doctors for. Glad it was nothing serious and you are okay
Thanks, Now I'll just try to relax for the weekend. ;)
Hi, everyone.
Well, I was missing from here today because late last evening and overnight, I had to deal with a tummy issue, spending too many hours in the can... Got to get a good sleep mid-morning though, and felt better - and just coming into the house was our son! He had just finished at the hospital for his appointment - all went well, he has been healing great; he's six weeks post surgery. He can start to put weight on his foot over the next few weeks. His foot is still quite swollen, but apparently that's normal.
It was just SO nice to have him here for even a few hours! My husband made him some food (I was wary of eating then), and then husband had to go out for a bit, so I even got Milan alone for a bit. Just talking about anything and everything was so nice, just being in his presence even - oh, and the hugs!
My husband took him back early aft after getting him some food and groceries, and then was back here by supper.
I did eat supper, so I'm hoping what I went through last night was just a time-limited bug, because I feel okay.
Hope you all had a great day!
@Natalka Yeah I hope it wasn't anything too serious and you manage to have a good weekend. :)
just noticed something tonight while trying to place a hold on a movie from the library...i already have 4 movies on hold & i got a notice saying i had Exceeded the amount.
either theres a glitch in thier website or they have changed the rules. anyone else have this problem?
What library are you using, Linda? Maybe new 2018 rules??
A note to cabbie- yes, if you are going into an ER for heart-related concerns -count on at least 10 hours if they are doing their job right. I try to make sure I have something to read when I spend time there or I wind up inadvertently listening to other people's symptoms. They are so careful not to use your name (privacy concerns) and then they separate you from the next patient with a curtain!
My brother had a fall and we, also spent all of Thursday at ER. He split open the back of his head and needed 3 stitches. He slipped on sheets on the floor in his room and fell backwards against the corner of his bedside table. Major bleeding! I think he may have given himself a concussion so he took it easy today but he won't stay off his laptop.
Got a fair bit accomplished today -laundry, etc. But had to lie down for quite a while this pm with a headache.
Tootie gets her tooth surgery done next Wednesday. Hoping she can really get relief from discomfort and heal fast. I don't know how many teeth she'll have to get removed or if she'll have to wear a cone.
Well, must try to doze off. Good night folks -have a great Saturday!
Good morning all it Saturday . @avouncallingu sorry to hear about your brother fall. Also glad Tootie will be having her surgery soon. @Nata lja glad you get to spend quality time with Milian and hope the stomach bug was only a 24hr period. Have a great day everyone
Good morning, Happy Caturday!
Tummy was fine yesterday, all is well.
Enjoy the day, all!

Good morning folks! Nat-glad you're feeling better. Must have been wonderful to have such a nice visit with your son! Flemeth-you are always so kind!
Good Boy - enjoy your prep and your dinner.
I found a cute "farm-boy" quilt at Goodwill a few weeks ago. Climbed up on my bed last night to hang it on the wall. Tootie thought I was quite crazy-which I probably was since I had to reach way up to stick the pins in. Now I am not sure that I like it.
Well, it's going to stay for a while.
Must get that wedding ceremony done and sent off.
There is an invite to a Celtic "Kay-Lee" ( since I can't spell the real word) tonight + supper at my friend's. Think I might go. Depends on a number of things.
Have a great day!
Good morning, everyone!!
Not too busy a day, added more batting to Jenny's bed, it was getting a little flat, stuffed and sewn up, so that's good for now; much more cushy for her.
Other than that, we're off to the kids' home to see all their vacation photos on their tv, nibble charcuterie, and sip wine. I love these evenings! They also mentioned that we'll be joining them in the next year to a year and a half at Disneyworld again...I can't wait!!!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!!!

Thanks @Natalka I was good, I used my phone a lot lol. They found a charger for me and got me a sandwich and some juice. I am a very patient person. ;)
@Lynn49 congrats on getting TOP T
5th games a charm!!! The Leafs finally pulled out a win ( against the Senators ) after dropping 4 in a row.
AND this time the Leafs came from behind to tie and then win the game in regulation!!
Happy Hockey Day in Canada everyone.
You, @walkonby , are so incredibly weird, no wonder we're Friends!!! hahaha!!!
I KNOW you're having a lovely weekend...tomorrow: a day of rest, me hopes??
