HOLY CRAP!!! @flemeth can you believe our great luck!?? The Toronto Maple Leaf's got the FIRST pick in the NHL Draft!!
I recorded the show and when the first 3 balls came up, the Leaf's were not eliminated but only ONE number would qualify
them to be first pick. I was yelling #12...#12....#12!! at the tv. And sure enough that ball came up the Shute !
Mats Sundin sure seemed less than excited when they went to him on air. Yesterday he was announced as the Hockey Operations
Advisor for The Leaf's, so maybe HE'S the good luck charm?

I totally forget about this and when we change the channel it was over but my DH was not at home at the time . Will try to catch the highlights later. My house was excited after the check there social media .

Pffft! A walk off win for the Detroit Tigers! I do not enjoy watching the game on a streaming service!! JMHO.

what a disappointing night ( for me ) as the Jays lose to the Yankees and Montreal took Game 7.
The next series I will be glued to will be between the Vegas Knights and Colorado!! I get to watch both
Marner and Kadri play!!

Oh boy....last night's OT win for the Canes was intense ( for me) . Series is tied up now 1-1.....
The Blue Jays hanging on to get their win against the Pirates gave me " something " else to
do while it rained all day. This afternoon the Jays play again, then in the evening it's the Marner
and Kadri show! ha ha
We had surprising great service when 2 deliveries from amazon and 1 from WM arrived, in fact
it can rain again all day if it wants when you get the kind of delivery guys that actually protect the
items from the elements.

Our meal at 7 p.m. ( soft warm pita filled with pork souvlaki + tzatziki ) along with the
cold pasta salad was delicious. I also grilled up an entire fresh pineapple ( thick slices )
on the mini George Foreman.

@walkonby you are correct the hockey came last night between the Montreal Canadians and the Hurricane was nail biting. I know that everyone think that The Avalanche is better than the Vegas nights .But come on Vegas is leading the series . I really really want Marner to get a win . I love Kadri also but I am torn between the 2 Guys

ya know @flemeth THE ONLY NHL official Jersey I ever bought ( it was for myself, ahem, PRICEY! ) was #43 Nazem Kadri!! He was MY Maple Leaf!
The betrayal he experienced by the Bettman Kangaroo Courts and the hate he endured over his career was obnoxious!! They dumped him.
So when he hoisted that Cup wearing # 91 for the Avalanche in 2022 basically saying F.U. to T.O. I was thrilled!
Same way I feel now about Marner...I want him to hoist the Cup, maybe speak a bit on how the best choice was for him to leave the Leafs.
So tough for me to watch these two pay against each other. ha ha

They did it! Hurricanes win OT win 3-2. I was miffed that the Habs never got a " too many men " penalty prior to the Canes scoring!!!
