I've never made a meat pie, just not in my repertoire. I do buy a tortiere once in a while. When I was a kid, my dad was superintendent of Catholic schools, and we would go to the French school every fall for their fall supper and pig out on tortiere!

Husband and I just made chili together, it's in the oven. I chop and direct, he does the rest. When we cook together, I get a lot of questions from him about why certain ingredients go in to dishes, etc., so it's interesting....

The knee thing comes and goes, it sure slows me down - let alone how painful it is when I step. Wishing it away...
Our son is in the city seeing his orthopod first thing this morning, then at some point he'll come over here for a visit. YAY!
My husband was putting on my compression stockings this morning, and he got sling-shotted - those suckers can be dangerous, he hurt his hand.
More snow came overnight, more will come later.

There's hope for us yet. Finally spotted the first robin of the season this morning. He landed on the gazebo frame in the backyard, said good morning and flew off.

Good morning, folks! I have been hearing robins but no sightings yet. Someone at church yesterday said they had seen one, so they are around here. No comments about "The Shape of Water?" I haven't seen it but my friend HATED it. She said that she wished she had known more about the director's style before she went.
Nat and hicks, I'm hoping that more sunny times are coming your way. It has been a long, slow journey and your patience with the process must get stretched thin. Hugs to both of you .
Has anyone heard anything from Darth Penguin? She kind of disappeared after Christmas.
I was inspired by Lynn's pot pie and went right out and bought 2 which I took over to my brotherB' s family for supper. They were going to come here but their dear doggie (100 lb. Zeke) cut his foot between two toes and required sedation to get stitches. Poor BrotherB had a terrible time lifting him back into and then out of their van to come home.
Speaking of doggies- I am fighting a pounding head, but I did binge out on chocolate last night- but I should get Missy-face out for you-know-what.
