I edited my post, I realized I should have started by saying, 'back in febraury...'
The incident happened in February, and now the Municipality decides it's time to call me up and hand me an invoice...
...an invoice that just shows 'total' costs for Labour, Equipment, and Materials, but no break down of how those totals were achieved. So to answer your question Walks, yes, I am 'fighting' it by putting it back on them to get me the breakdown of costs.
I work in Construction. Everyday I review Progress Claims by Contractors. I double and triple check the claims so that I'm not handing out money for work that wasn't done. What gives the Municipality the right to hand me an invoice without backing up the totals with a breakdown!?
Who in there right mind would just hand over money because a number was tossed out at them!?
