Good morning, everyone!

We're all home safe and sound from camp, and what great summer weather we had, unlike today, which feels more like fall! Dull, dreary...so unmotivating.

So DH prepared part of our lawn in the back yard, added fresh topsoil, grass seed and put two of those cheap wire fences around it, where he had kept the snow low for Jenny to do her business, from the patio to the toolshed.
Well, Jenny just finds that whole thing unacceptable. She won't venture into the yard because something has changed...there's a new thing out there and it just puts her off. I even carried her to the middle of the yard to do her business this morning and she wandered around, sniffing the ground, casting glances my way and when she thought I wasn't looking, took off like a wild thing back to the patio and the gate. I'm not sure her little feet even touched the lawn on the way. Seems that for the next two or three weeks, the back yard is off limits in her mind.
So DH now takes her out the front door to do her business.
WHAT a goofy little girl!!

That's about all the excitement we're expecting around here today, which I think is a good thing, thank heavens.

Good morning everyone. Well no sunshine here for us here this morning. I guess I can't complain as it was warm and sunny here for the last little while. I have plans to reupholster a chair seat today...but who knows. :shrug: Have a great Monday all.

Sky is finally old enough to move in with Toby and his female Bay. bwahaha!! I have not been on here yet today and came in just in time to see a mouse challenge of sorts.Personally I loved the little video but kept asking myself why was I STILL watching after the first 30 seconds? They scurry, they sniff, they clean themselves.....somehow all those little tasks are mesmerizing. Thanks for posting @Lynn49 ....and @GoodBoy you'd best behave. ha ha ha

Hey, if he wants to admit he looks like a rodent, I mean a mouse, who are we to contradict. If he's mousy, don't you think that's enough of a penalty.

Walks, I was watching and thinking exactly the same thing, but I watched til the end! I used to have gerbils in my classroom. The kids loved watching them and handling them. You probably couldn't do that today. I do remember, though, as an administrator when the first request came in to have a dog as a companion for an autistic child. I was scared to death that it would bite another child. Truth is, without it, the CHILD was more likely to bite another child. I left that school before it was all instituted so I don't really know how it turned out.

It's been another, "Which pill is going to make which pain go away?" day. My cleaning helper, who has become a good friend, came over to help me pack, however. She was a massage therapist in her home country and gave me a head and shoulder massage. That really helped. Also we packed all my crystal and cookbooks. Every little bit helps.

When I walked Sadie this morning past the next big apartment building, I heard what seemed like an old man calling, "No! No!" and then , "Help me!"

I decided to call the police who did come (after 30 minutes ) but it was hard to tell where it might have come from. They investigated but didn't find anyone who needed their help. I hope whoever it was, was ok.


Well, time for Sadie's walk and supper. Go away,headache! I have things to do!

@avoncallingu - I'm so sorry you're still suffering with that migraine. Glad the massage helped, and that she helped you do a little packing. I hope you feel so much better in the morning - after a good night's sleep. :hug:
