One of my favourite recipes for a healthy "grab and go" breakfast. Wanted to share! I use turkey bacon and sometimes omit it completely. Attachment 341384

It’s been a long day, but I had an important appointment with my neurologist. I started my new migraine preventative, but I feel sore now. I’m hoping that I start feeling better over the next few days. Reducing my amount of pain would help with my weight.
I posted this in another thread but thought I would post it here too. Doing the ddp yoga and just overall eating better. I lost 8lbs in the last week. Today will be a rest day and back to ddp yoga Monday morning. Hope everyone has a good day and mothers day. :)
Beautiful sunny day today so a great start to the week! Will be prepping food tonight. Broccoli and zucchini for sure needs to be used up. Lots of chicken in the freezer so will take some out and cook it up for tomorrow night.
yes...the sunshine put me in the mood to hit the garden Centre this a.m. and buy a few annuals for the window boxes and the other pots. DH is the official " plant putter-inner " as I often snap the delicate stems or lose a lovely flower while transplanting.
I usually get that stupid guilty look on my face and he says " just leave them, I'll do it "
Feeling very good at this point in my journey of weight loss. Cravings are more manageable....I usually brew a small pot of Oolong tea first, sip it while pondering why do I want that food or treat?
If after the tea is gone and I STILL crave something then I go ahead and have some....but just SOME. lol
Healthy creamy Fruit Dip for those summer cravings! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c17bfa6edf.jpg

I will try my best NOT to be a " Cooper " this week.

@walkonby Yeah I saw that video like 20 times now in different places lol. ;)
so it is the first long weekend of the summer..... note to self: try to show restraint! ha ha
The gang of us are doing dinner and a movie ( Deadpool 2 !!) and I have saved all my allowed calories for this meal tonight, I may find myself elbowing guests out of the buffet line from feeling super hungry.....tbc.
@walkonby I hope you are having a good long weekend. I'm really trying to cut down on food portions and crap. Foe instance when I do my groceries in a couple days. I'm going to buy some packages of individual pizzas. However instead of eating a whole mini pizza I'm going to eat 1/2 a mini pizza and save the rest for lunch the next day. I will serve it with a bunch of raw veggies like carrots, cucumbers and salad. I think I will buy spring mix and spinach to make salads.
@cabmonk I do that too here at home. At the buffet the other night I was so careful. It ha been my only meal of the day and I served myself one piece of this, one spoon of that. Then if I ate every morsel on the plate and was still peckish I went back and repeated ( walking to and from was my exercise!! ha ha )
I was very content after that meal, not bloated or uncomfortable.
@walkonby Sounds good, I keep thinking about the buffet a couple blocks from me. I know if I went there I wouldn't be restrained lol. However maybe I will go there one day when I know I won't eat 3 plates. ;)
Hi all. Hope you all had a great long weekend. Mine was busy busy. Meals out and a big beer at the hockey game we went to :)Brought lots of healthy food to work yesterday and today. Went home for lunch and will do the same today.
Today began my intermittent fasting experiment. I will only eat between 11am and 8pm and fast the rest of the time (water is ok though)
So for my first day doing this I only had 2 meals and a small snack because I was out shopping with my aunt. Tomorrow I will do the 3 meals, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and a snack around 7pm. So far so good with this plan. I'll see if it helps me lose weight.
Cabmonk!! Your doing wonderful job with your diet so far ..keep up with awesome work and it will all pay off in long run ..take care yourself sweetie :sweet:
