Lol @walkonby ! I love those yoga kitties
. They make it look sooooooooo easy and for this old gal it’s not!
Did my yoga class again tonight. I’m very awkward doing it and definitely can’t bend and reach like the instructor but that’s because I’m super tight. I love cardio the most (I can always run!) , strength is next and core is dead last. I know this will help with my balance, and flexibility which are both excellent for running. I may look funny but it actually feels good when I’m done.
Tomorrow I’m doing a live run with my London run coach! Yay. I don’t get many live classes since I’m either working or the time change is not possible (I love running but not at 2am!)
Then another yoga class.

40 min run done that includes my 30 min live run! Having a quick tart cherry juice shot and then my yoga class. Then I’ll be done for the day.

Another yoga class done last night There are some great moves but some are just too much for me. I have a back injury from 25 years ago and unfortunately the damage is already done so while this can be good for me I still have to be careful and know my limits.
I’ll do another class today and plan on a run too.

Best yoga class ever! That’s because it was a restorative class which is relaxation poses laying down
plus I did it after my 30 min hill run so it felt SOOOOOO good.

I slept badly yesterday night and I have a kink in my neck making it hard to turn to one side so after work I decided to take it easy and just do a meditation stretching and I’ll save the yoga etc for today since I have more of a range of motion this morning.

2 yoga classes done. 40 min and I enjoyed these ones. I’m feeling more flexible today and my balance is definitely improving.

Yesterday was a rough day at work both physically but emotionally so I only had the capability of a meditation class.
Today is a new day and feeling a bit better so plan to fully workout. Sometimes life gets you down but as long as you get up that’s all that counts.

40 minutes of yoga today. Back bend moves so it was a challenge but the front bend moves were sooooooo good.

So when it comes to running I like to say I’m not built for speed, I’m built for distance. I used to do lots of interval and incline running but since the pandemic I’ve focused more on just running. Anyhoo, I have tried more work on speed and knee driving to help with that and today I had an amazing run. My best time for running a mile was 13.25 ( like I said I’m a slow runner) but today I shaved it to 11:09! My ultimate goal would be a 7min mile but I’m not even thinking about that.
That was all before 7:39 this morning. Planning on a yoga class before bed tonight.

So it’s been a crazy busy week. All I managed to squeeze in was 1 yoga and then sleep meditation every night. Mind you my job is super physical so that in itself is a workout but I miss running so the plan fir today is to run…..at some point.

Survived my first colonoscopy with a clean bill of health. I was a little anxious, after all the prep needed before the exam. What a sigh of relief. Now, good for 10 years before checking, again.
I did it without any sedation and did my usual 15km walk afterwards. I ran 3km to the hospital. Still sweaty, I got it done within an hour, and then ran out. The nurses were all surprised that I would do that much, but I didn't have any polyps to remove. Now that it is over, I wonder what all the fuss is. Also wonder why more folks don't elect to forgo the sedation. Only about 15% choose this path. I had the IV all set up, just in case, but did not need any anesthesia. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

@HermanH
. It’s such an important test that so many neglect. Good for you getting it done. My dad has had a couple (all without sedation as we’ve) and he said it wasn’t bad. He was chatting with the technician and watched a bit of it. The only issue he had was when they would go around the corner and he said it was just a bit “weird” whatever that means.
I love to run but I wouldn’t be done it on the way to or from a colonoscopy sofor you running and walking.

I need to get back to scheduling my workouts. Just because life gets busy doesn’t mean I should put off harder workouts. I need to work life around my workouts with the extra of my job.
2 yoga classes last night and I’m about to do another 2 right now, then a run.
