A little background info:
My hubby and I both finished university recently. I finished with a teaching degree a couple of years ago, and he finished with a PhD just about a month ago. Since I finished, I've been able to find a supply teaching job at a local private school, but have only been called a couple of times, and my husband is now looking for work.
Yesterday I went into the school to run a Christmas program for some of the children. At the end of the day the vice-principal gave me a card and told me to wait until I got home to open it.
Needless to say, I couldn't wait until I got home. The minute I walked in the door I opened the envelope. Inside was a miracle. There were 5 $50 gift cards to Fortino's and a $50 gift card for a restaurant (Montana's, Kelsey's, Swiss Chalet) and a $25 gift card for the movies, plus some cash. I couldn't believe it. Just when times were getting really tough and even the most extreme couponing wasn't helping us enough to buy a weeks worth of groceries, this wonderful gift came along.
