Thread: Dish detergent for hard water

    We've decided not to invest in an $800 machine and biweekly bags to soften up the water. But...I really need to know which dish detergent (talking about for hand washing dishes) is the best to use. Ie so the bubbles don't disappear as soon as you put the dishes in

    Bubbles don't clean dishes.Just buy any old name brand dishwashing liquid.

    I use Dawn and Dawn only. I find the bubbles last the longest. But @Poirot is right.

    The easiest solution is to start using a dishwasher detergent with a water softener. A water softener is the long-term solution (which we still haven't done ourselves). I have read tons of forum topics, reviews ( https://iwaterpurification.com/best-water-softener-reviews/ ). Still cannot decide in a particular softener
