Zellers Coupon Clarification Help?

I've read the FB page for this coupon over and over and the more I read it the more confused I get! At first I was under the impression that the 50% coupon could be used for ANY item, excluding the ones listed on the coupon itself. But then I saw something about being able to use it with the flyer offers but not any other offers/sales. So please correct me if I'm wrong......I can use the coupon in addition to a sale price that's listed in the flyer.....however if an item is on sale, but NOT listed it the flyer I cannot use the coupon.....OR I can use the coupon on any regular priced item (minus exclusions)?? They really should have worded the coupon more clearly.....I know it states that it can't be combined with other offers....but many stores don't consider their "sales" to be other offers....and then when you throw in the loophole of flyer items, it just makes it more confusing! lol


Also.....does anyone know if these can be used on razor blades? lol

it doesnt' matter if its in the flyer /on sale.. or just in their store on sale.. or not.. its included.. that includes clearance items as well.
the only thing that gets me is it says taxes are applied on pre 50% off discount.. ??

You can use the coupon on any sale price flyer or not, and you can PM with a flyer. PMing is not an offer, it is basically just making another store's sale price theirs, says their facebook.

You CAN'T use it on BOGOs, because that is considered an offer.


Taxes should be applied on the price the item would ring up at (point-of-sale price) sans-coupon. So a $100 product would have $100 worth of tax, not $50.

It sucks for those who are making large purchases but it's a government thing.

Also, for taxes, some are getting away with them on the post-coupon amount - don't know how they managed that!

Zellers Hi Sarah Johnstone - you can use the coupon for regularly priced items and for flyer sale items. You cannot use the coupon in conjunction with other items on sale (outside of the flyer items). Hope that clarifies things!

Zellers Hi Donna Woito - to clarify, you can use this coupon with regularly priced items OR it can be combined with our flyer deals. Unfortunately, it can't be used on other sale items. This is aligned with what's on the coupon - we aren't changing the rules! Hope that helps to clarify your question!

lol what? That's stupid. So unadvertised sales are a no, but price matching and use on clearance items are OK?

Chantel, someone on the FB page was asking about PMing, but no answer was given last time I checked there. Somewhere in all these postings on SC (several threads running), someone said no PMing, no SPC card. Or maybe another forum I peeked at?

Anyway, those latter two don't pertain to me...

Zellers Hi Marc-Andre Roy - it can't be combined with any other coupon offers. However, it does state clearly on the coupon that "this offer CAN be used with our great flyer deals", which includes the sale price of different items. I hope that answers your question. Happy Shopping!

Based on those, I'd hope the final answer is no spc, yes pm, yes all sale prices, no other coupons.

Zellers Hi Denise Job - this coupon can be used in conjunction with FLYER SALES as it states on the coupon - but not in conjunction with other sales. Hope that answers your question

Hahaha....thanks guys!! I think I understand now.....at least as much as anyone else! lol. And coincidentally, one of the FB answers from Zellers that someone copied and pasted on here was mine! lol

You can use the coupon on almost anything in the store (a few exceptions though, but those are listed on the coupon). Used mine today to buy a Beaumark BM1155 BBQ, which was regular $499.99 but still had the previous week's 25% off sticker price on it, which brought the BBQ down to $374.99.....so then I used my 50% off coupon which brought it down to $187.50
