i'm a religious person and I find what is going in the world (and also where are we going) are all mentioned in all three Holy Books!
I am just surprised how much people like to not believe what is gonna happen! they just shut their ears and continue to indulge in daily routine! I was telling a friend today about the two things I asked you about and he said"no way..everything will be fine..it's not gonna happen.."

Just saying......what do you think the farmer back in the 30`s was thinking when all around him was falling apart...just saying..the guy in the trenches WW2 with bombs falling all around and everything falling apart and the first nuke going off...just saying...WW1 when they used gas to kill anyone or anything...just saying I believe every generation has its end of game senario.
Do I believe the economy is headed for collapse...yes..all we need right now is for the climate or natural disaster to put us over the edge...but we will survive...every great civilization totally crapped on the enviroment to bring about its downfall..we are no different..if the US $ falls (and it will) the euro is sure to follow...but something will relace them..no it wont be the same but it wont be the end either...I got a box of non hybrid seeds just in case

Do your preparation, cause those who are unprepared, will get hurt the most...

Those who have lost their jobs & aren't getting one now, life is already hell for them.
And for those who still have a job, are having difficulty with their budgeting shortfall. Cost of living is going a lot more than any pay raise one can get. Its just a matter of time, for things to get worse & worse..

A 2% pay raise means you actually lost money: because that extra 2% is taxable at the highest marginal tax rate, lets say 30%, so your net increase is only 1.4% & the cost of living has gone up much more than that. This is the reason why, people still feel poor in spite of their pay increase..
And oil at/over $100/barrel is a sign of serious geopolitical issues. Its the new normal, get used to high oil prices; gradually high oil price will affect grocery price, & everything (because there is a transportation component in almost everything)..

There's a saying: If your neighbor lost a job- its recession; & if you loose a job its a depression..
Sadly, many of us in our modern society are not prepared to deal with a crisis situation. For example just to name a few, bank holiday for several days; grocery store major shut-down; Oil price $200/barrel; mass problem with the internet system; lack of clean water; cops unable to respond to 911; etc.etc. These are not very uncommon in a crisis. Those who are unprepared will be hurt the most.. And if nothing happens, you are still OK.

There's a very high possibility (or probability) of US Dollar devaluation in the future (much like FDR did in 1930's). Its that devaluation which will trigger the crisis.. Listen to Lindsey Williams, where he refers to Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke's speech of 21, Nov 2002, where he clearly mentioned what he would do.... out of the 5 things he mentioned, he has already done 4, & the 5th one is US Dollar devaluation. I know people have their own beliefs, but its interesting in the bible how it says that there will be a great tribulation like the world has never seen before. It also says they will throw their money in the street because it will be worth nothing. I think its pretty accurate.

But what is scary is that he says wide and spacious is the road leading off to death and many are on it and narrow is the road leading to everlasting life and few are finding it. They didn't just laugh and mock him. . .they tortured and killed him. They haven't learned much since then unfortunately (hence: the world news)

But you are right Taxsavey. The earth will not be destroyed. That is a promise in Ecclesiastes 1:4 "the earth is standing to time indefinite"
Not only that, but Psalm 37:11 promises, "the meek themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." That's the Good News part.

But once again looking at the news . . and the greed, and the general lack of love in the world, I'm not seeing a whole lot of "meek" people. Neither am I saying "I'm" one. Not for me to say. . .

Hi there, I do not post comments very often but I just purchased The Weathly Barber Returns on amazon.ca for $8.00. I had read the first one years ago. I like that he is a Canadian from Ontario (I live in Ontario so I feel more connected to his comments). This is a very light read with some truths to it. I am 30 years old, raising two young children, he gave a real list of things to do to be best prepared. At the back of the book there is a list of others he reads or listens to on a regular basis. I am not saying he is the highest authority on our current situation or I am a knowledgable judge but for someone at my current level of understanding about economics I really enjoyed the read! Thought I would share.
