    TGIF!! We have sunshine!

Youngest asked me if he can sleep at his friends house tonight since all the "boys" are lol. Happy he has a good group of friends. He most likely works in the morning so I will have to pick him up early.
I also have to go pick up my niece and take her to a birthday party (My sister and mother are in Vegas! so helping my BIL out) I will take her back home with me for the afternoon and take her home before bed.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

@SassyAshley The important thing is that the surgery is behind you, and it was a success. Well done, lady!

I went yardsaling this morning. I seem to be the yardsale zealot at Smartcanucks, and I encourage everyone to give it a good try. Why? Well, one of the yard sales this morning was a bonanza, with a lovely woman wanting bargain bargain prices because, as she said, "it's that or the landfill." For $12, I got:

2 new Queen sized sheets and pillow case sets
    2 quilted shams
a pyrex pie pan with a cover
    a set of truly unique--in a tasteful way--earrings
50 styrofoam bowls that will be handy to refrid. things. No real bowls, no dishwasher, just recycle

Yard sale, gals and guys! But always know what you are looking for. I went into the season wanting pyrex, for example. I now have 8 different dish sizes and styles. No more pyrex for this household!

Decided it is way too nice out to work this afternoon so taking the afternoon off. I have tons of vacation so I should use it when its nice like this! I have so much I want to do so not sure where to start but will go home and sort the laundry etc and clean the bathroom and then see what I do.
I tried to buy sandals last night but they didn't have much selection/sizes where I went so may try another place tonight.

I don’t think I told you all yet. A couple days ago we received our first SaskPower bill since our solar went online. They messed up, but Dh was able to call in the actual meter reading and get it sorted out. It cost $25 to be hooked up to the power grid. We produced over 1,000kw/hrs more than we used. So we only used about 1/5 of what we produced in May. That’s even with using the oven and AC some days.

Well the good news is I was not overly freaking out the day of surgery although I had high blood pressure and they could not find any veins. To my shock my Dad showed up and I thought he was just going to see me off to surgery but ended up staying the whole time which actually ended up taking the whole day.

I did not come out of anesthetic well, I did not want to wake up and then I was not feeling well so they gave me gravel which then put me back to sleep. There was a small complication in surgery, turns out I had over 50 stones in my gallbladder which cause some issues. This means my recovery time has now tripled and honestly this is going to be trying as I am now restricted for 3 weeks.

All and all things are good, I am actually not in as much pain as I expected which is nice but due to the complication moving and sleeping are difficult. My whole stomach below my belly button is bruise and swollen causing quite a bit of discomfort.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
So glad your surgery is over - wow that is a lot of stones, hopefully your pain attacks will stop now.

I got a notice that they start restoration today till June 21. It says all suites I guess I am okay with that. 7 people are staying in hotel until work is finished I guess. I don’t know what they are doing for food at the hotel. It’s a lot more damage then previously thought. I am really not okay with this construction business from 8am to 6pm I like to sleep during the day too.

Slow and steady wins the race. I’m so sore and tired and just want life to resume to something better but I don’t know what that it is.

Maybe Red Cross is providing vouchers for food for those residents in the hotel?

Is there a park nearby where you can have a blanket or chair out to doze in during the day? Any hammering or power tool use plus dust is going to cramp daily life indoors while the tradespersons are on-site; probably will have some delays with elevators if equipment and supplies are coming in at all hours. Hope management has some dust control (plastic sheeting taped or stapled) in place to keep most of it at the apartments under work and has vacuuming daily or else the whole building will be a dustbowl.

Last night, I visited Fortinos to look for anything of interest for $1 on the reduced price produce shelves and picked up mixed fruit for $1. Had the clementine and one banana with breakfast today, had the other banana last night and still have a pointy tomato looking fruit and two Asian pears left. Thought it was a good variety pack.

My jar of Nutella lasted a week. Everyday, I have been having the spread on two slices or more of bread plus sometimes scooping out a couple of tablespoonfuls to snack on. Will see if there are more sale jars left at Longos when I go to buy La Croix water on sale for $4.99 (want to try a different flavour than my usual peach-pear choice).

Golf rant-some fans are so obsessed with getting dropped off near Halson St. they are having friends/family stop in no-stopping zones along Wilson St. E. to disembark. Gee, there's a reason why parking lots are in designated places and then there's the free HSR shuttle bus from the city centre to Ancaster. Fairgrounds are using school buses to transport parking customers to the golf course area.

Today's afternoon plan: to check for any garden seed growth, remove all those maple tree seeds that landed on the nylon cover in the past few days and then cut some grass. Exciting for a warm day! Also have a pants pocket to repair as the seam tore along the stitching and I usually rely on pocket to hold things but have two holes right now. Have to check on bath towels on the line from the morning and make sure the other load gets on the line too (left it in the washer).

Have a craving for quick loaf or coffee cake. Mom bought a big bag of bananas from Walmart and said she intended to use most of them for loaves...so there's hope for a treat with tea today!

It's a great sunny Friday here-June is coming through on the warm weather!

Whew. What a relief. Some months ago, I lost my PC Optimum card, which has about $170 on it, and I could not find the fob. Nor had I written down the card number. Translation: I was SOL. The most I could do was to lock the account. But virtue IS rewarded. In Spring cleaning, I found the fob with the number buried deep in a desk drawer. I just unlocked the account and I can access it through the fob, which is a second card. This will change my shopping habits. I had abandoned SDM, for Rexall, and I haven't set foot in Loblaws in months. Now I am back in control. That's a lovely feeling. It is a lovely place to be.
