"As long as someone takes responsibility for what they've said, and addresses the fact that in 2019 some things that may have been said in the past are inappropriate today, that if anything that they've ever said in the past caused any type of hurt or disrespect to one community or another and have apologized for that, I accept that. I accept the fact that people make mistakes in the past and can own up to that and accept that. I believe many Canadians, most Canadians, recognize that people can say things in the past, when they're younger, at a different time in their life, that they would not say today." -- Andrew Scheer, September 15, 2019

I personally want to figure out which candidate best matches my list of concerns and get the voting (early) done and over with.
Let me tell you, if one more person says there will be a tax credit for such and such, I'll lose my temper. Not everyone can wait for tax return time to get a credit for something paid for this year.
Oh, there was mention of the Liberals capital gains tax plans on one's home-the higher the tax, the shorter length of home ownership. From 2018: https://torontosun.com/opinion/colum...want-your-home
The attachment has a paragraph on “Campaign Platform 2019,” that reads: “Another idea that emerged from housing town halls is a sliding Capital Gains Tax on principle (sic) residences. A 50% tax after one year of ownership, 25% after two years, 15% after three years, 10% after four years, 5% after five.”2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Some information from Elections Canada.
If you're registered, you should receive a voter information card in the mail by October 4. To check if you're registered, visit: elections.ca/register (https://ereg.elections.ca/CWelcome.aspx?lang=e)

Thanks for the link @GoodBoy ! I'm not chancing the possibility that I'll actually have the card by Friday. I verified that I'm on the voter list. Now to figure out which local candidate is getting my vote! I want to go to an advance poll and get the vote done with.
This morning, I saw the video about the protest over Maxime Bernier's visit for an event rental at Mohawk College yesterday. I had considered going to Fennell Campus yesterday morning for computer time and decided against it due to not feeling like walking there. Had forgotten about the event, so I'm pleased I avoided the situation.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Similar to my thoughts. Do not need the card anyway. I plan to vote on the 11th in a local advance poll, be done with it, and enjoy Thanksgiving!

Ironically, my card came in yesterday's mail and so did sibling's. I presume Mom's card will arrive today.
