I totally agree. the problem is that perception is reality. Many are saying someone did something wrong by reading into things not written and then feel justified. If they plainly say, "hey I used these and got away with it and here is how I did it." well ya, Or if a person mistakenly did it,and didn't know, but others start imputing motive. That has got to stop. Its getting psycho crazy on there. If its a thread about bragging. Or a thread about bragging pending approval of viewer who may or may not judge based on non facts or without all the variables behind the transaction? Then the person has to write a page. Then it's not a quick brag. It sucks.

just quote it and then delete the extra, I usually put a ... or <clipped> so ppl know its not the full quote.

On the other hand, if no one says anything, and it was a mistake, 30 ppl go out and do the same 'mistake' and then a month later they get a letter from the manufacturer saying you do not have stock of xyz widgets so no reimbursement and the cashiers get reprimanded for accepting, and take it out on customers

Its why I stay out of brags, I will say something if I see abuse and I got fed up of going into stores and having cashiers treat me like crap because of others abusing coupons, or abusing the cashiers to get them to take them

I really do agree with FP.

I stopped reading brags all together because of the vast amount of mis-used coupon brags. Oh and the needless shelf clearing brags.

Rarely will I post in that section and when I do it's because I saw the thread on the "new posts" section, not because I went into the "brags" section.
