I have hair elastics but the mask instructions ask for 7 inches of elastic per loop. My hair elastics are much smaller. Also as I wear glasses sometimes, my ears get irritated from temple arms and I would not subject my ears to rubber elastics. Stretchy fabric that is narrow is better-thus why my pale camisole top is going to be contributing its straps to the masks.

At the Dollarama in the sewing section, they sell different widths of elastics. It's usually white fabric with lots of elastic running through it. I use these when my pajama pants were too big. Cut a small hole at the waste, use a safety pin on the elastic and string it through around the waste. Bingo. A pants that fits.
For your mask, you need 2 pieces of elastic. One sewn on the top and the other sewn on the bottom so it wraps around your head and not around your ear.
I know what you mean about wearing glasses. The arms hurt my ears. Sometimes I position the arms just above my ears to relieve the pain.

The ear saver looks like a variation of the plastic handle in some cardboard boxes (Dofasco Xmas packs from the 80s and 90s) to carry product! Clever lad, that he has a market for his gadgets.
*other products with plastic carry handles: Tim Horton's takeout coffee boxes, plastic pails, electronics cardboard boxes like these ones https://www.uline.ca/BL_1405/Jumbo-C...rrying+handles or this one

Pizza on the go at some Petro Canada stations for truckers (and others needing food while on the road) in the Greater Toronto Area:

Saw this mailbox idea to help Canada Post employees avoid contacting your mailbox lid:
https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca...8001/forecasts
Wooden clothes peg or binder clip can help prop the mailbox lid open (mostly ideal if your mailbox is under a roof or overhang to help shelter your mail. Would not recommend keeping the lid open in bad or windy weather.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

It looks like starting this Monday Costco will require all customers (some exceptions apply) to wear a face covering to enter the store. The covering must cover the nose and mouth. We will see if the other stores follow their lead

I heard this was only in the US. Can you cite this as being the case in Canada?
The Costco Canada website, Coronavirus response page updated today, does not share this same info. (the US site does, however)
The only update from today are that effective May 4, 2020, shoppers 60years and older can shop from 8am-9am (a change from 9am-10am) but no mention of mask requirements.Last edited by bhlombardy; Wed, Apr 29th, 2020 at 07:33 PM.

This quote is from a site I was on earlier
This appears to be only Costco in America at this point? I don't see anything on Costco Canada's page.
Edit: Just heard that Costco Canada has implemented the same. They haven't posted anything but are telling people as they go into Costco today that it will be the new rule.

Saw these no tie shoe bands (silicone) that could likely double as ear savers for people with smaller back head widths:

After talking to someone (not a close friend) this morning, I have realized that not everybody is ready to go out. All the media is speaking of the danger of contracting or sharing the virus, stay in, stay safe is actually scaring people. She has decide to cancel all her trips for the next two years, because maybe it will be safe then. That would not worry me so much if I didn't know her trips were in September and October and less than a 4 hour drive away and still in Ontario. Another person (on my local news) was explaining that due to the virus, we should 'deep clean' our travel trailer before using it this year --then said we really shouldn't use it this year. I still trying to figure out why I need to 'deep clean' my trailer that has been sitting in my back yard since last September, it isn't coughing! In the same manner I should disinfect my bicycle after use...again, why, not one but me is going near it! I am taking this issue seriously, I live alone and I haven't been out of my home or near anybody in 13 days. But a little common sense, and less fear mongering.
ok, thanks everybody, I am done ranting (always feel better after)

My feeling is that I fully intend to err on the side of caution, but yeah, some people are taking this well beyond what levels that seem very prudent. That said, lacking common sense in this way is far less of an issue than not having enough to take reasonable precautions, both for their own protection and for everyone else's.

There is no reason to deep clean your trailer at all. First of all, it's YOUR trailer. It's no different than your home and your car. As long as you and members of your household are the only ones using it, you're fine.
Besides that, the virus wont last on plastic or steel surfaces for more than 72 hours and even less for other surfaces (24 hours on paper or cardboard, and 4 hours on copper). If no one has been in the trailer for the past few days, then it's not infected. The trailer is safe.... but again, treat it like your home.
Like Arjon says, we should still exercise caution, but there's also no reason to be taking things beyond reason.
As for your friend's travel limitations I dont know that I'd restrict any regional travel... out of province or country yes.
Myself, I wont be going out of province, nor out of the country needlessly that's for sure (I mean even once those borders are open) for quite a while. -- I do love my travel, especially my road trips to the US... But I wont be going anywhere until AFTER there's a vaccine that I and most of the population of wherever I was going has had it... and has had it for at least 6 months.
