Okay I was using my CT Master Card to pay my SDM MC every month. Now that the SDM Card is BOA, I can't figure out who to pay it to. No matter who I search or anything.... Has anyone does it successfully yet?

You were right up until the 20x factor. You do NOT get multiplier points (20x in this example) on your SDM credit card.
365 days of the year (regardless of SDM promo) buy a gift card first using your SDM Mastercard and get base points for purchase ($1.00 = 10 points) and base points for using SDM credit card ($1.00 = 15 points). So as you calculated you would get 1250 points by purchasing a $50.00 SDM gift card using your SDM Mastercard.
I also have the Options Mastercard and - for my use - prefer the benefit of the SDM points and find it better value. Of course when I gas up at CT gas bar or purchase at Canadian Tire Store the Options Mastercard is the better choice.

Thanks so much for this post. I recently got the SDM credit card, because of the additional points. But it never occurred to me to still buy the gift cards, but pay with the credit card. Awesome!

Okay gotcha about the 20x points.
I am still debating about the two cards. Like the last bill I got from SDM had just over 4000 points on it. That is worth about 5 bucks at SDM. However, the same amount of money on the bill I would have gotten over $9 in Canadian Tire money.
I guess it boils down to where you want your points to be for you to spend really.....Missing my Best Friend since 1971. RIP Lynda (1947-2012)

Depends on the store. I haven't encountered a SDM yet that won't let me buy SDM GC with my SDM Mastercard. Having said that I'm "known" at the stores I shop at.

I bought SDM GC last year with my CT Mastercard, so i don't forsee it being a problem buying them with a SDM MC!

My SDM allows you to but GC's with a credit card as long as the value is 100$ or less.
As for the CC, I use my SDM one only when I spend more then my GC at the till... I always use my AeroGold Visa to but the GC as it is 2 x the points and the travel rewards are equally important to me then the SDM rewards... I like dipping into everything, and Aerogold is more bang for my buck if you break it down V.S the SDM pointsKeep Smiling!

The 3 SDMs around me do not allow the purchase of any GCs, bus tickets, bus passes, or lottery using any CCs, so you will want to check on that first.
I think the best way to maximize your points would be to use Debit or Cash to buy a GC to do your shop - pay for any remaining $ that the GC does not cover using your CC if possible. Use your CC for other purchases no matter what store and simply pay off the balance as you normally would.

It's the SDM cards that you need to buy to get points; I think the smallest one is $25 (at least this is the smallest one I have seen at my SDM) - they look like this:
