Good morning all. The weekend is over (I can't say it was a long weekend, because I w*rked Saturday).
I heard on the Q yesterday that there is a new Pink Floyd contest starting soon. Didn't catch the details, but there was something about a pig. Ryan can be so hard to follow sometimes.
Was I dreaming, or did anybody else catch this?

Q was saying they are having a spot the pig contest. spot the pig on the website, enter as usual & you can win 1 of 107 pink floyd "the wall" CDs or possibly win the 3 box set or complete 7 pc set. they had this last year & i believe Wolfie won a complete set. they're doing it again for the 30th anniversary of "the wall"

Heard it too, but have not seen the Little Bacon Bit as of yet.

Beer and Bacon Mancakes Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb bacon (8 slices)
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups Bisquick Mix
1 cup of your favorite regular or nonalcoholic beer
2 eggs
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with foil. Place wire rack on top of cookie sheet. Arrange bacon in single layer on top of rack. Bake 10 minutes.
2. Sprinkle bacon with half the brown sugar. Bake 10 minutes longer. Turn bacon over; sprinkle with remaining brown sugar. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until golden brown. Remove from rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Crumble bacon into small pieces; set aside.
3. Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat or electric griddle to 375°F; grease with vegetable oil or shortening.
4. In medium bowl, beat Bisquick mix, beer and eggs with whisk until blended. If batter is too thick, add additional beer until desired consistency. Stir in bacon. Pour by 1/2 cupfuls onto hot griddle. Cook until edges are dry. Turn; cook until golden brown.

I am alive and have been M.I.A.
I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend....
and had time to relax....
I stayed close to home except for going to choose some material to
have a valence made for my kitchen window. I had purchased a wag jag certificate/coupon for this company...
It was an awesome deal... only the owner changed his mind and
instead of $250.00 towards draperies using the coupon, I will receive $75.00
off. It is better than nothing and more than covers what I paid.....
However I wanted to have something made for my daughter's windows too.

We are without hot water presently.
Our water heater began leaking like crazy so we called the
city and will be getting a new one from them or a tankless system.
The builder signed us up with Reliance for our water heater and we
had no say.
The city charges 10.00 a month less.....

I will be showering at the gym tonight...
It sure beats an ice cold one at home.

Work is still crazy..... and is keeping me out of here....
for the most part...

had that problem last year at this time. fortunately, it was leaking thru the valve where you drain it. was able to attach an old washing machine water hose to it so it would drip into the drain & not all over the basment floor. took about a week to get a new one installed, but was still able to use the hot water for showers. that was an expensive month between the tank, water & oil bills. the new one has been great, lots of hot water & heats up in no time.

The City just left here
and we will have a new tank installed tomorrow am.

The guy told us to put in a tankless system it will be a minimum of 750.00
to change the fittings on our existing pipes, and there is no way we will
recoup that money down the road....

It is a no brainer
