    A new year begins

Transferred $100 into the Christmas account today.
Had a nice balance forward from last year. Will let it grow. Down the road the extra will pay for something.

thanks for starting the new Christmas thread @Frugalbigmama

We're not so much about starting a Christmas fund early in the year ( anymore ) mainly because we no longer have a long list of people we buy gifts for.
Each other and the grown kids, that is almost it....there are the odd small gifts for my sisters and 1 BIL. What I did do however was finally use up a bag
of stray decorations ( the outside kind) that had fallen off of different wreaths, fence garlands, etc

I hot glued them all to my long white Birch branch which up until now was bare and trying so hard to find a place among the outdoor decorations. In December
2023 it will fit in beautifully " somewhere ".

I bought my 1st gift. Puma boxer are my son’s favourite and Costco had them on sale. The younger son wants cologne so I am taking a page from from frugal big mama and will buy the sampler set at SDM and do it with a bonus event.

Youtuber Queenie of London has both Harrod's and Liberty of London Xmas shop videos posted, in case anyone needs some inspiration for gift ideas to move on gift lists for this year.
I watched the Harrod's one and 35 pounds for an ornament is too rich for me. Fun to see all the themes though.
