My PC offers are average, a few for things we buy, some for things we have never bought.

I wish I could get some of my offers to line up the sales. Even with saving 4 offers a week, I cannot seem to get them to line up. I always save meat offers when I get them and produce if I can.

Well, today has been a fun day and it is only noon.

I ran out this morning to put gas in my car, and I get back to an email "Are you available?" Originally, when I took a quick glance I did not realize they meant for today and right now. Our managers are in training today and turn out a staff member had to leave, leaving no one in the office processing the paperwork. So off I went.

The only issue is I was not expecting to be in a branch today and had no food ready and had not eaten yet. So I threw together some yogurt and berries for Breakfast and quickly ripped up and washed some lettuce for a Caesar Salad and we had some BBQ Chicken Chunks in the fridge left over from a couple of nights ago. We still had some Chex Mix Nuts so I threw some of those in a baggie and off I went.

I had a full day of my own work to get done today plus some home stuff I was going to get set up for the weekend but such is life.

I will chirp on as well about the underwhelming and often confusing offers I get from PC Optimum. As some of you had posted , we get offers for things we never buy, or my favourite....an offer on a product I stocked up on 2-3 days before!

Oh, the other thing I have noticed with PC is I am getting a lot more Spend X and get and the amount that needs to spent is not realistic for our household. Sending me an offer to spend $200 and get X, the only place I spend $200 in one transaction is Costco.

As it becomes harder and harder to Price Match at No Frills, I am spending less and less. This week Food Basics has the better produce sales and yes, I could have tried to Price Match at No Frills but honestly, I do not want to risk leaving behind half my groceries because they deny the Price Match. I will just go to Food Basics.

Also, I am finding the points value a little disappointing for the amount you need to spend. This week I got spend $15 on canned goods and get 1,500, we do not buy a lot of canned goods so spending $15 would be hard for us, especially if the sales do not line up (which they do not). To be honest, $1.50 back in points does not entice me to spend more than I need to.

I think for me, it is more disappointing, everything with PC was we track your purchases to give you customized offers. I do not know whose purchases they are looking but I do not think they are mine. I realize it is all perspective, some people spend $15 on canned goods without even thinking about it but with all of this tracking, they should see I am not one of those people.

On another note, anyone who is using the Scene Program and shops regularly at Freshco or Sobey's, are you getting personalized offers?

I checked mine this morning as I was thinking of running in for Avocados and Lemons, as Scene Members get the Avocados for $1.99 and I can get 50 points for the Lemons. I had 2 offers this week, one for Green Onions and one for Eggs.

I had a personalized offer today that I used - Spend $50.00 and get 1000 points. Added to that was 100 points for 10$ on produce (that was in the flyer) so that is not bad. I am not saving the points however. I have already used 10$ in points once and have an additional 20$ now and will spend that next week,

On another note, anyone who is using the Scene Program and shops regularly at Freshco or Sobey's, are you getting personalized offers?

Sassy -i had about 8 scene offers this week .Goodboy i use them as i get them to save on groceries also.

This grocery shop i decided to go to fortinos as they offered me 7,500 points for spending over $75.00

I saved 14.00 in cpns and checkout51 and caddle .Got back 9,500 in points

I also didnt find their prices that much more than no frills lately there is no great sales ,i posted in the brag section .Plus i found a pair of pjs bottoms joe fresh 11.97 on sale.I tried on 2 pairs one pair was rough material and the other were so soft(took the soft ones) they are all sold out online plus you have to spend over 50.00 now to get free shipping .

Oh and lilo got my checkout51 check today from dec 25 when i cashed out-so that did take awhile.

Violence over avocados has been going on for years.

Years ago, I remember watching another news documentary about avocado workers being slaughtered. The narcos could not get to the avocado plantation owner, because he was too well armed and protected. So, instead, they murdered his workers and spread terror to try and shut down his plantation. Never learned how he fared.

@SassyAshley I have become the same with my shopping. Food basics has been surprising with the deals so I don’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to PM. This week looks like Sobeys is my store of choice because that’s what offers the best points for the bits I need. @coupongirl my cheque arrived today as well. That was my longest wait ever.

Good Morning Everyone,
Ugh, that pretty much sums things up for me.

I have so much I need to get done around the house, I fell so far behind this week and going into the office yesterday was kind of the icing on the cake because now I am also behind at work. I had so many things I needed to get done yesterday for next week and none of it got done, I feel so far behind.

Then last night I was working on our budget and logged into one of my accounts to see some odd activity. A credit was posted to my account, I have no idea what this credit is for, as far as I know, there should not be a credit and the note on the credit said coding error which made no sense to me. But then I see a correction on my account, okay they made a mistake they fixed it, NOPE, the correction is higher than the credit by over $100.

So I called customer service, it was one of the most frustrating phone calls I have ever made, right up there with the Rental Car Drama. So I call and explain the issue, they see the issue but tell me they cannot help me, there is nothing they can do. I need to call back on Monday and will probably have to book an appointment for someone to look into my account. Can I not book the appointment now? No, call back Monday.

This person in no way, shape or form seems to care that there is an outage on my account and as I am trying to ask questions they want to change settings on my account instead. Just keep telling me it was an error made against my account. When I asked how they would feel if this was their account, they stopped answering my questions. Not once during the conversation did they apologize for the error their company made or for the fact they could not help me, they just kept blowing me off that this was no big deal, it is an error. Okay well, my account is now out over $100 and I am pissed.

I called back this morning (yes, I am that person) and they were more helpful but still cannot fix the error. At least they answered my questions this morning but again cannot fix it. Today they could book me an appointment only issue is, the appointments they could offer, I am not available because my schedule is insane this week. I am so annoyed, they messed up but now it is taking a ton of time and work on my end to get it fixed. Not to mention, I feel like this is hanging over my head and is now causing me anxiety.

I am going to go scrub something and take out some of my aggression.

Daughter and sebastian are coming today around 2.00.So i made the bed ,fresh sheets and did other laundry .Son will come after ashlyn art class and daughter-in-law will come after cara's gymnastics .

We will celebrate my son's birthday early,all of us.

Change in plans, no scrubbing although I did do the dishes. Instead, I decided to do some baking, we had some blueberries that needed to be used up so I made a batch of Blueberry Muffins. I also had an open tub of Ricotta that needed to be used so I make a batch of Lemon Ricotta Cookies I will share with some co-workers this week.

The dishes are all done and the kitchen is clean.

I have cleaned out the fridge. Found some napa I forgot was in the drawer, it had to go and there were a few grapes that did not get eaten.

I still need to do some prep for the week, lots of produce prep to be done. I will write I list so I stay on track.

Tonight's dinner will be pizza, we have been saying we were going to have pizza for days but things keep happening and it has not happened so tonight is the night.

Well today started off great . At 1:18am an ambulance came ripping down our street and stopped out front. Just saw the lights but too tired to get up to see anything. It was a tough day yesterday so I was really in need of a good solid nights sleep. Then come to find out Dh took the last of the coffee. Now normally I’m not a huge coffee drinker but I really needed it today get moving and now I’m stuck. Maybe I’ll just go back to bed (kinda)

Stopped by Thrifty foods after work yesterday and got beyond sausage for $5.99 normally $9-13 a large lemon for 95c ( I’ve seen the big ones for 99C-$1).

Going to attempt another humus recipe. I’ve had bad luck in the past but I’m going to try again. I’m a humus snob!

I have to process some veggies before they go bad but that’s all I have energy for right now. Maybe I’ll walk up to IGA to grab some coffee…..unless SDM would be cheaper for the McDonald’s brand.
