Freedom Mobile will offer a $50 monthly plan that includes unlimited calls and texts as well as 40 gigabytes of data usable throughout Canada and the U.S. following its acquisition by Quebecor Inc.'s Videotron.

Fizz Mobile is operated by Freedom Mobile. The former is expanding into Ontario. It's a very DIY kind of entity so be aware of that when you consider switching cellular providers. It will be hard to get someone to talk to in case of tech issues.

I will say that Fizz is genius at offering deductions if customers don't want texting or other features on their monthly plan.

Freedom Mobile has opened phone plans and home Internet plans in Manitoba. Residents won't get quite the same kind of offers as in other provinces, but Freedom is at least in business in Manitoba. https://www.freedommobile.ca/en-CA/a...eedom-manitoba

The telecom's parent company is protesting a deal that Loblaws has with Rogers & Bell. Loblaws runs The Mobile Shop in some different banners of its grocery family. Freedom is concerned about its plans being squeezed out of that retail space given that Loblaws offers two mobile brand plans via Bell (PC Mobile & No Name Mobile).

5G users can access a $5/month prepaid plan. Check your phone 's IMEI on the website to ensure the phone can operate on Freedom's network bands.

With US Thanksgiving late this month, there might be the prospect of special offers from Freedom.
