@barbis9 So they no longer make them according to what they told me at the Dealership. However, twas my DH's first thought, get one from " somewhere "
( from an identical make/model vehicle in a scrap yard?? ) however he is NOT a mechanic.
He knows ZERO about how to take the current device out of our vehicle and after hearing all that stupidity from the Dealership about a certain part that can be damaged once you remove the whole thing, I discouraged him enough to entertain doing any of that!
I'm very good at shooting down his ideas.....I'm so bad. ha ha ha

@Ciel21 yowza that is rich. I am currently making do with the in laws toaster oven that was stored for the kids and we are thinking of waiting for a deal at Canadian Tire. This expense made sense when we had 4 of us home full time but heading into empty nest it makes no sense. I had a crazy idea and DH is on board but we are going to stop using our CT money and let it build up so when we buy the house in Nova Scotia we will be able to start the kitchen set up.

If you are just looking for an oven to 'get by', why not consider a 2nd-hand one from one of the thrift stores?

For now we have something that works but it’s really about counter real estate with two largish appliances and we use them too much to put away after each use. So I will live with what I have and then wait until the perfect item shows up.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I am going, to be honest, I have totally lost track of this past week and if I repeat something I am sorry.

I was out of town most of the week as we had a manager off so I was covering them. I drove out Monday which completely set off my anxiety as I was worried about how bad traffic was going to be. Luckily I was heading North and most would be heading South, but still, it freaked me out.

I was out of town for 3 nights, I came home on Thursday, I was going to work most of the day out of town and then drive back but based on the weather I left early to try to avoid the storms coming in. I got home and 15 minutes after I got home the rain came but compared to what I heard other areas got we really did not get a lot of rain.

On my way home Thursday, I stopped in another location just to check in. I also grabbed some groceries. I did not get everything I had planned as there were a lot of empty spots in my local store so I will have to go out next week for a few things. I was supposed to stop at Costco on the way home but between the heat and the rain coming in I decided not to. I did have coolers with me but since I had been working out of town, I did not have ice packs.

I spent yesterday focusing on work as I now have a meeting Monday I wanted to prepare for plus I got the go-ahead on a few projects I now need to roll out.

I have so much I need to do today, the house is a bit of a disaster because I got nothing done all week but I do not feel my best this morning. I noticed yesterday afternoon my sinuses were unhappy, today they are very unhappy. I have sinus pain, pressure in my face, my ears are hurting inside and so is my throat. I just want to curl up under a blanket on the couch and drink lots of tea.

We shall see how today goes. We were supposed to be having an appetizer and movie night today but I did not pick up appetizers as I was going to make them but now that just seems like way too much work. Maybe I will see if Mom feels like Pizza and Movie instead.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

    Good Saturday morning,

I headed out to SOF to get a few sale items.

Their humus is do die for and on sale $2.29/100gr.
    Hemp hearts $15.99
    Pineapple (large) $4.49
    Lemons X 3= FREE

and a few other things we needed. I’ll have to double check my point bonuses. Had to get a raincheck for my JJ Bean cold brew so grabbed a FREE large black iced coffee from McDonald’s using some of my points and added my Silk creamer at home.

A relatively chill day today doing laundry and some light organizing. Maybe clean the car now that I finally got coffee ( haven’t had coffee in over a week).

    Have a fantastic sunny Saturday

    Good Afternoon!

Woke up and had a shower and headed out. Grabbed a coffee at Mcdonald's and popped into RCSS. Was on the hunt for Biosteel. Certain flavours I would like to try but my store only had 2. (I am a huge water drinker but sometimes I jut need something different and this sounds like a good option)
I see on their website that it is free shipping wus $50 + but I need to try it first. I may hate it!

Popped in Mark's, Winners, Sportcheck and Maurice's. Marks and Maurices's have amazing prices on summer clearance.
Thinking I may head South tomorrow to the outlet mall. I do have a large online order of summer/cruise wear on its way but I am looking for a few more items.

Made myself a smoothie and washed the few dishes and blender in the sink. We are so great for eating at home but geez there is always dishes!!!
    Never ending!!

I have a garbage bag on on the go so will do some spot cleaning and toss some things. I should do some laundry since DS cleaned his room And the hamper is full and ready in the laundry room.
@Lilo - Not sure if your boys like American Eagle boxers but they had a few 3 packs on sale for under $5!!! All the sized were available and I was going to grab a bunch for youngest (oldest doesn't like that style) but I would have had to buy way too many for free shipping as I couldn't see anything else to buy.

    Enjoy the weekend!

@Frugalbigmama thanks for the tip. They like the American Eagle clothes as they are both tall and the older one is still wearing tshirts he bought when he was in grade 9 which was 9 yrs ago, so I shall check them out and maybe start my Christmas shopping.

Good Morning Everyone, @harbie , thank you.

I feel better than I did yesterday but I am not 100% or would say better.

I am trying to find my ambition as there are a few things I really need to get done today but I told myself last night that unless I was feeling 100% I am only going to do the bare minimum today.

I need to fight with Amazon today, the manufacturer has not responded to me regarding my missing container. I gave them a few extra days because of the holiday last week but it has been a week and still nothing.

Need to figure out dinner for tonight. Last night I just made Nachos because I was so tired by dinner time I did not want to cook. Trying to think if I can come up with something I can just pop in the oven, trying to keep it simple. If I had of been really on top of it I should have put a Pork Roast in the Slow Cooker but too late now since the Pork Roast is sill frozen.

    Happy Sunday

Today will be easy like Sunday morning cause it is .

Dh and I did a 17.5km ride yesterday and despite some initial noise from loud obnoxious teenagers I slept like a baby.

I need to check stock on my cold brew at another SOF otherwise it’s a free McDonald’s one again but I prefer the JJ Bean.

Another sunny warm day so later we’ll ride to the pickleball court and play. Tomorrow I’m planning on running.

Now that it’s written down it’s pretty lame today . Oh well, lame is my middle name .

    Have a great Sunday everyone

Good Morning and Happy Monday! The sun is shining

A work from home day today. Made coffee and then will make breakfast to start the day.

Went away overnight Saturday and still need to unpack overnight bags. Will get to that today and then put a load of laundry in washer and then hang to dry and keep up on it.

Will give the fridge a quick clean out and figure out our meal plan with what we have to use up.

Plan after work is to putter in the garage. Will organize and start posting for sale. It has to go!

    Have a wonderful day!

@walkonby I was referring to a store that sells car stereos, where you would pay them to put something new "after market" in. I know several people that did that and by passed the over priced dealer equipment. Definitely cheaper than a grand.

Or you can ask a private mechanic (small shop) to put it in from a parts scrap yard. Again cheaper than the dealership. As its 2015 you wouldn't have an issue finding a used one that works.

I personally no longer go to dealerships unless its for a recall only. Too many bad experiences with GM, Ford, and Acura.

@harbie no coffee for a week???? That would literally kill me. I'm am crabby unless I have a nice strong coffee in the AM. I'm impressed that you did that. I always say - you don't buy coffee, you rent it (as it goes through your system quickly).
