Happy Wednesday!
Finally made a homemade mac and cheese today. Had a bit for lunch. Will put the entire tray in the fridge once it cools down. Whatever is left on Friday will be wrapped for the freezer. Kitchen is clean and dishes drying on the counter.
Cleaned 1 washroom and combined all the partly filled bottles of shampoo/conditioner into one bottle.
All clean laundry is put away. Now I am going to go find 10 items to post for sale! I need to get on this!

Good to read what the current rate is for driver's licence in Ontario. I don't know what to anticipate for the photo ID card renewal in January if I am still functioning and alive. Got 2 years for $24? last time. Used to be $35 for 5 years-insights on current fee/years on card would be appreciated. Health card also due to renew.

I'd suggest that you consider a floor model in case you have a bad day physically as the handheld cleaner would require you to reach and bend more, @SassyAshley .
Have you and Mom discussed seeking whether staying in the house is prudent due to her mobility issues or should you both be thinking of finding a one-level home in the near future? Someone in my extended family is going to have to face that issue soon."This is the Way." The Mandalorian

Lens Mill's pdf flyer has a Hamilton ON store only coupon for 20% off regular price item. I was looking for offers and that location was a destination feature (exterior pic and blurb does not tell you that there is no sidewalk along Brockley Dr to the store...from the bus stop on Barton St E). You have to clip print or show coupon on your smartphone.https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/18...r_0923_eds.pdf
Sewists! Barbie fabrics are available plus there is 20% off Burda Style and McCalls patterns (can you say sewing projects for fall, Oktoberfest, leisure, Halloween and more?). If you visit the Simplicity.com site and go to McCalls there is a Barbie 2pc pink outfit pattern on the site, if you need inspiration from the movie. Cowboy hat not included.
I am finishing up today's online searching. The phone's back with my friend and the device got me through a hot summer (with wifi sessions). Have to get a few groceries on my walk. Burlington day trip is put off for now (Monday was humid).
Have a fabulous summer night!"This is the Way." The Mandalorian

Good Morning! Looks like a beautiful sunny start to the day. I have to pop out soon to pick up a free light fixture for a bathroom remodel so I will be able to see how nice it is out.
I put a load of towels in the washer this morning first thing. (before making coffee!) So will get that load washed/dried and put away. I'm feeling ambitious and thinking I will do a 2nd load too!
Took out a roast beef last night from the freezer to thaw overnight. Will pop it in the slow cooker around noon. Will have to pop out for the 10LB potato deal later today since we are out of potatoes completely. Will serve with carrots and green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. Oldest will be here for dinner which is nice.
Have a wonderful day!

@Ciel21 , I will admit ideally we would move to a bungalow because of Mom's mobility issues but the reality is that is not possible. Financially at this time, it is just not doable, so we will have to figure out how to make our current space work for us.

Good Morning Everyone,
Trying my best to get stuff done today but also feel like I am being pulled in multiple directions.
I worked an event in one of our locations yesterday, it was a fun day. When I was done I decided to go Costco Shopping which my feet did not appreciate. I did not do my large shop, I just grabbed what was on sale and what we need to get through another week or two until I can do my large shop.
Got Mom's Glucosamine and my Probiotics, grabbed a pack of Chicken Breasts & Chicken Wings, a pack of Sausages, Ceasar Salad Dressing, Naan, Nachos and some Chips. They also finally had the Club House Italanio Seasoning in stock so I grabbed one, as this is our fav and they have been out for months.
I was hoping for a smaller shop this week but I see some good deals I want to pick up so we shall see.
Today is a work-from-home day, trying to get all the things done. I am going into one of those situations where I am scheduling multiple weeks out which always makes me nervous because you never know what will pop up.

@SassyAshley thanks for the tip on the Club House, I looked again last Saturday and my Costco did not have it, its been at least a year. So fingers crossed its back.
I have a load of blankets on the line but its is cool out today, sunny though.
Last night I had to run to RCCS and I totally scored on the Heinz picnic pack of mustard, relish and ketchup for 1.94. they had really long shelf life (Aug 2024) so i picked up 3 of them.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Roast is cooking in the slow cooker. Carrots and potatoes peeled/cut and ready in pots on the stove. Dishes all washed up!
I love this dinner on a Sunday. Prep it all in the morning and clean the kitchen and then can enjoy the day outside and come home to a planned easy meal.
Towels are almost dry. Load of laundry in washer hung to dry . Put a 3rd load in the washer.
Cleaned off the front porch. (had bags of soil that needed to be put away) Pulled some weeks. Tossed a mat in the garbage can.
I'm good for getting things done early but seem to lose my ambition early afternoon.Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Thu, Sep 14th, 2023 at 01:28 PM.

Great veggie/fruit deals. The clementines from Food Basics are really good! I just grabbed 2 bags but will give some to the oldest so will pop in and grab a few more bags during this sale.
Someone posted an ad for RCSS advertising cauliflower for a great price of $4.99. They posted the FB ad for $1.88 on the RCSS ad.
I plan on attempting my 1st cauliflower pizza one night in the next week. Wish me luck!

pro tip @Frugalbigmama when making that cauliflower pizza crust the main thing is to squeeze every drop of water from the processed cauliflower. Cheesecloth is your friend....ha ha
No grocery flyers again ( yet? ) so any dream of shopping or price matching today is gone. meh? Not that we needed a whole lot anyways. I still would appreciate getting the flyers early on Thursdays.
