December 1st already . Weren’t we just in the heat of summer?

Not much on the docket for today. No spending for sure as we didn’t find much at the mall yesterday for what we wanted to spend. Actually the stuff we need/wanted will be on sale until Tuesday and Thursday respectively so we can think a bit more about it.

Off to the gym soon after my tea and oats. Have a great Sunday everyone

Opps, I first posted in November Thread but shouldn't be surprised, lately I have no idea what day let alone the date.

Although it does make me chuckle as I was talking to a co-worker this week who kept telling me the weekend coming was inventory (it is the next weekend) but they 100% thought we were already in December which was funny considering they knew our Dinner was Friday and was the last Friday in November.

I did partake in some Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping. I got:

A new Bread Maker - The seal went in our Bread Machine and to be honest this kind of annoys me, this part can be replaced but the replacement part was $79.99 plus shipping or I could get a whole new Bread Maker starting at $69.99. I did not get the $69.99, I spent a little more to get a brand I have had before and loved.

New Pantry Containers - Normally I am not one to buy into the hype of stuff online (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok) but on one of the previous Prime Days we got the Rubbermaid Brilliance Containers, oh my gosh, total game changer for my produce prep. During Black Friday they had the Pantry kit on sale and I have a couple containers I need to replace (cannot be mad they are probably 15+ years old but are no longer air tight) so I grabbed this.

Rubbermaid Brilliance Containers - Costco also had the regular packs on sale for Black Friday and I wanted more of the deeper containers and this pack had them so picked these up well at Costco. Seriously I know it sounds funny but I am in love with these Containers. But they do not go in the dishwasher or the microwave as I will make sure they last at this price.

Some of my Donations for work were also Black Friday deals, the board games I bought are normally $20 but I got them for $10 which meant instead of picking up 1 game I grabbed 2.

I will say just because I do not know what each retailer is doing for shipping with the Canada Post on Strike so I have done more of my shopping in store or for in store pick-up.

2.5 hour walk to SDM/GT and Food Basics. 45+ min chat with mom of one of my son's friends in the grocery store.
Picked up a few things in my travels.
Now relax for a bit and then get dinner going!

    Bravo!

I caught a cold last night and spent the entire night coughing every 3 minutes, to clear my lungs; making it impossible to sleep. The only good thing to come out of it seems to be that coughing appears to burn more calories than regular breathing. I get up a little bit lighter, than normal.

Wow, hard to imagine it’s December. Watching the crazy snow in so many locations made me not complain about have to finally pull out my winter jacket.
No groceries were bought this weekend. It was so odd to not go shopping but there is nothing we need. I did take advantage of a Mobil/PCO spend 25.00 on gas get 5000PCO if you use the Mobil app. So I did just 25.00. Hubby has the same offer so he will do the same.

@coupon girl you can thank the bitter December temps for your sore legs, mine are aching too. Just grateful we did not get any of the white stuff.
I don't consider a dusting qualifies. It will come for sure but please Mother Nature give us a couple more weeks to get used to the idea? ha ha
I tried to get Mutti diced tomatoes at FreshCo yesterday but all out. Raincheck only permitted 4 max. WHY?? The limit in flyer was for 6?

@walkonby , I feel like 4 is the magic number when it comes to grocery store limits on the "extras" (rain checks, price matching).

Great news for the Plus-Size girlies, if you have a Torrid near you they now ship to stores in Canada which means no shipping fees when you buy online.

I do not shop here often but their footwear is so much cheaper than Penningtons and I find they are a better option when you need something for a special event.

Good Morning! It was sunny and blue skies but now the clouds have moved in.
Staying put till tomorrow at least as per the weather forecast.

Our roast beef dinner was amazing last night. Nothing left besides the container I made up for the oldest. If he doesn't eat it today it is up for grabs!
For dinner- I am trying for the first time the Baked Tortelllini Lasagna. Pulled tomatoes from freezer to make sauce.
I will pull chicken from the freezer to cook up tomorrow- For wraps/chicken bowls on Tuesday.

Enjoying my coffee while going through my emails. Then I am going to sort the laundry and put a load or 2 on today.
Shower and go to the gym since I didn't drive anywhere yesterday.

    Have a great day!

I do not think I have ever price matched at Giant Tiger, I have to admit our Giant Tiger leaves something to be desired. I think the building they are in is too small and the staff are not the most helpful. As well I find if I buy produce there it does not last. Usually they do not have a lot in stock so you just have to pick the best package.

I have been meaning to check out some when I travel to see if all locations are similar to one here or if it is a one off but I didn't travel as much this year.

Walkonby-wow my freshco allowed 6 items on their raincheck a few weeks back when i got the purex -i guess every store is different.
Wow mugs if you were around the corner i would take some ,but alas my dear 75 year old sister-in-law gave me 3 juice glasses and 4 mugs when i was there last week .Using the juice glasses but put the mugs downstairs for when some break -never know.

Son dropped in to get Ashlyns switch she left yesterday but didnt stay as he was meeting his wife on her lunch break at the mall -good luck with that one !!
