thanks for the heads up. I avoid that airport, the last time we had a layover there was 10+ years ago when we flew to Jamaica. It was an exhausting experience and we missed our flight back to YEG.

Social media accounts have been alerting people to the situation prior to the strike plus there were reminders to bring extra food and drink but I assume passengers have to spend after security at the vendors available.

So glad that certain TTC workers did not walk out yesterday on strike. The union and TTC reached a tentative agreement that has to be voted upon.

Tomorrow is the day we find out if the digital phone thing is going to work when the ISP service call is held. I am not thrilled with something Bro brought home so I have looked around for an adaptor online (for phone handset) and it seems to be online order only. Sigh. I'll be offline for the better part of tomorrow.

The winds this afternoon shook out branches and parts of dry old tree limbs. There's going to be yard work this week.

Good Morning. We woke up to snow but the sun is melting it.

I didn't go anywhere yesterday so I am itching to get out today. Thinking an afternoon walk to the coffee shop. I need a change of scenery.

Did a load of laundry and need to hang it up to dry. Almost done washing all the dishes. I took out a bag of shrimp for dinner. Will make some rice and chop up my veggies this morning so it is easy to cook up later today when ready for dinner.
Good thing my fav Chinese restaurant is closed today or I could have made a different plan. Trying to be good

Looked over the upcoming sale flyers. A few fresh deals I will pick up but other then that we won't be needing much.

    Have a fantastic day!

    Hello all.

Well it’s been a ride. After having the stent removed on Monday I was feeling fantastic but still sore and then it happened. The pain kept getting worse, the meds didn’t work except making my extremely nauseous. So from 2:45pm until 2am I was in the worst pain I have ever felt as I was vomiting and finally I passed a stone! They obviously try to get everything but something can be left behind and it was. Holy moly. I was going to head to the ER but it was listed as a 7 hr wait and that’s not where I wanted to wait in pain.

The previous stone I passed in 2017 was quite a bit larger but I guess it’s because of the trauma caused by the surgery that made it way more painful. Death was wanted I’ll tell ya.

Thankfully as soon as it passed the pain stopped and hasn’t returned so fingers crossed that was it.

On the schedule for today is a trip to the nursery to get soil, seeds and some plants that hopefully I can plant later today or tomorrow if the weather permits.

Checking out the upcoming sales and see if we need anything, hit up the mall for some T-shirts that I’m having custom printed for the family vacation, and a swimsuit for me(that errand might have to wait )

Hope everyone has a great day today

Found an abandoned stash of 8x cans of soup, beans, and pasta, along with 3x boxes of Kraft Dinner, and 4x jars of tomato sauce just lying there in a field.

@HermanH your watermelon find a few posts ago have me thinking it'd be nice to have some of that fruit for Sunday when it'll feel almost like summer! Today feels like a verge of a freeze despite the sunshine. Literally #spwinter.

Sibling finally got gas and he's on his own getting the tall grass cut. He finished the job. I'll check later on tomorrow if there's gas for a mow on my own for next week.

Service call was 90min+. Handset remains on the wall and working (have kept our number). I was the person to think to set up voicemail (it has been about 20 years+ since we had a Call Answer type setup and it's good to have it back again (no more playing messages while someone is watching the tv in the living room!) last night. Pity there's no Call Screen option in the bundle with the phone. I have a few people in mind that I would use it for to give me peace of mind they won't bother me again. Penny dropped when I realized a certain relation likely used the very service to block our number a few years ago. The Internet is not smooth-laggy or works then kind of slows or jerks while loading pages. Shades of Bell Sympatico service from the 1990s. I said something to sibling and he said the technician had commented on something on the pole being responsible for the problem. I quickly replied how can that be when two newer neighbours, one in particular, have had same ISP company put their service lines up (on same pole) and checked annually prior to Super Bowl. Maybe they have different service packages...

During afternoon yesterday, I decided to get the batteries recycled and poke around Winners (saw a couple of short sleeve tops of interest), Amazing Store (must have been there 40min; saw two Aerogarden liquid plant food vials without prices and lots of 6 or 9 pod herb mixes (varying prices from $9.98 or $17.98 for same contents just different counts), two tomato-cherry and heirloom-options and even mixed romaine lettuces sets), and Giant Tiger (no speaker with bubbler option but lots of solar lighting things and lack of exciting home items and did see one of the $70 garden planters). Collected some dropped beverage cups on my walks because they were so obvious on recently cut City greenspaces. No treasure finds on the ground.

Time to round up the gift card deals and catch up on grocery deals for that list that keeps on growing...

@harbie I'm so sorry you had to experience the passage of a stone after surgery. If only your body could e-mail you why it did that to give you some closure for the pain you had to endure. Ditto the vomitting. (((((hugs)))))

@harbie my dear Lord, your description about the nausea hit home big time for me. I'm so sorry it took that long to pass a stone, an area I'm unfamiliar with but have heard it's torturous. Lets hope that was it! I was wondering what made me throw up violently a couple of times earlier today and then I remembered about the PAIN meds! I'm on strong ones ( 2 oxy ) every 4 hours. I woke up at 7 p.m. DH said I think you missed your dose, and here it is after 9 p.m. but I'm just waiting to see if I can just take 1 tablet to tide me over. These awful pain meds with their double edged sword. ( constipation and tossing my cookies ) .
    All the best harbie!!

Oh @walkonby I'm with you. Either plugged up or puking. Funny thing is I only get Naproxen and T3's which do NOTHING for pain. I'm sending some serious feel better vibes your way. I really hope you get over this nasty pain hump soon.

Hubby and i got a deck box for our back deck on sale with 10 times the points i swapped for -tired of locking the cushions up in the shed everyday so they dont get wet.

We left mid day today. I had a specialist appointment that I waited ages for so we will do the drive in 3 days. Now I wait for results but the dr felt that the results would be better than what the ultrasound suggested.
It will be nice to not have a 12 hour day on Saturday.

Got waved down by a man in an SUV, in the Walmart parking lot. He starts introducing himself as from Dubai and that he is living in Vancouver. He also introduced his wife and child, in the back seat. I have no idea why he called me over. He starts to take off a ring and tries to offer it to me and I realize it is probably the 'jewelry scam', whereby someone tries to trade fake gold jewelry for my real money. I told him to get lost.

Thinking back on it, I should have taking his picture and licence plate to report to police. Sigh, I'm just not quick enough on the uptake to take action.

Actually, this is the second time someone tried to wave me down in the same parking lot! The first time, I just told him 'no' and waved him off. I'll do better, if there is a third time. I bet there will be; scumbags have found a hunting ground and will continue to prey on victims until stopped.
