The hospital just called my daughter(she took a sick day to take sebastian to the doctor)Sebastain has walking puemonia-going around usually in the kids not adults.
She was suppose to be told in 3-4 days but due to backlog she was called today ,it is contagious .

If she had known on day 10 the girls and us myself ,hubby and daughter-in-law wouldnt have gone to toronto.Lets hope the girls dont get sick.

@coupon girl , I remember your shopping posts now that it is Black Friday month. I remember that you shop for birthdays and Christmas and whatnot throughout the year.

I am not seeing 'wow' Black Friday deals right now. So, copied you. Hope that this is o.k.

Got some thick, warm socks that were $19.99 to $4.97 in the Spring. Stocking stuffer for someone who likes winter sports and walks and whatnot.

Got underwear for stocking stuffer. Yup. That was a request. The underwear were high quality and 'designer' brand name. On 75% clearance.

Got back to school, high quality back packs, with laptop section and RFID and whatnot. For college and Uni gifts. Reg. $39.99, down to $19.97. It went to $14.97 later so I got a price adjustment with my receipt. $5 bucks is $5 bucks. ($19.97 down to$ 14.97).

Perfume that Shoppers sells for $100 for 50 ml, got 90 ml for $20 less. $80. Special persons. Yup, the Optimum points could be used too at Shoppers.

Thanks for everyone on this frugal chat who share great ways to be stealth with shopping deals, and keeping more in the bank!

Shwa girl -sure its okay to copy me.I love a deal !! All year round look when i was in toronto on sunday a plant shop had 50% off as they were closing ,i may have bought more if we were not inline to eat brunch .I paid 5.00 for a pink syngonium(not sure if that is spelt right) all the nurserys here they are 10-12.00 plants ,that was a treat for me as i love my plants.
Do i know what i have on hand nope-i look now and then .

The other day i was getting out little miss cara 's makeup kit i bought her and i took out 2 pairs of mens socks i bought at winners in the end of last year i paid 4.00 and they are the softest not tight on my legs socks (yes i wear mens socks as i am a size 9)so i kept them for me .

With everything going up groceries ,dental bills in my household due to my implant ,bills getting higher .I always run to the clearance at any store or look at sales online .Look i already have some easter clothing for the girls and Sebastian .

Love anyone who posts on here that will help me save money .

Thanks coupon girl. About groceries, wow it's so true about prices shooting up. A bag of 6-8 peppers were as cheap as 4.99 one week this summer. The same peppers are now 10.99. Found frozen blueberries now, 2 kg for 9.99. So that's 2.50 for 500 g. The old 500g frozen bags of vegetables are slowly getting lighter, store brand, fancy packaging. "Rob"laws.

ladies, I will hop aboard to add my dissatisfaction in everyday grocery staples shooting up every week in price for what reason exactly?
I grocery shop with my list made up from the best store flyer deals, I price match when possible ( only if I get an actual flyer to use ),
before leaving I check my receipt, get SCOPs when possible.
But I've religiously done a search and rescue for reduced produce that still has life. Once at home I change up my menu for that day and
the next to incorporate them before they can spoil.

When I used to do this sort of thing before I felt it was my choice, and I felt I had beat the system a little. Now however, I MUST
rely on a few reduced produce items in order to keep that grocery spend down. They're not always around AND often they are substandard
in quality! Those ones do not end up in my cart.
Another rule I have is we simply DO NOT buy or eat items that I feel they are gouging us on. One week it may be celery, the next time it's
certain fruits. We do without them until the price drops again.
Is that strategy or a temper tantrum? ha ha ha

DD informs me she is moving back to Vancouver at the end of Dec-yay. Way rather have her closer to here than in Ontario. She says there is more work available in harm reduction there so hopefully she finds a good job.
Sat was my lucky day-I won $52.50 on the Lotto Max-plus a free ticket for Tuesday. We had a lovely weekend away with friends-the 6 of us are now in our 60's and 70's so one never knows when one of us could get sick-or worse. Good to get together while we are all still in pretty good health.

    Good strategy. Yup.
I feel for the people who can't afford fruits and vegetables. The news had an increase in food bank people around Thanksgiving. People who have a job and have rent increase, pay the rent and the heat and then look at the groceries--how to cut back.

On a positive note Giant Tiger advertises 2lbs carrots or onions for $1.25. Celery or ice berg lettuce is $1.88.

Morning we are off to watch the girls from 4.30 p.m on til 8.30 tonight. As son is working nights and daughter-in-law has a training seminar.
Hubby will take Ashlyn to her basketball camp at 7-8 p.m.

Well i found out i will be going back to mall soon as hot topics doesnt do store pick up its an american company .My oldest Ashlyn loves "Cinnamon " so off to hot topics, spencers or Misto store i will go soon

My daughter called me on her way to work she has a doctors appt at 3.15,she feels so crappy .It apparently takes 5-10 days incubation period ,she feels she may have walking pnumonia,as she let Sebastian sleep with her last week when he could hardly breath .
I feel bad for her ,her even going into work to show them she is sick .

Hopefully the girls of hubby or i dont get it soon,we had less exposure to Sebastian.

Well so far so good-just arrived at our 5 day childcare gig with the twin-twins. Only one 14 year old home so far-and he has been very polite and helpful. My husband will pick up the other 3 from school in awhile. Looks like Mum left enough food to feed an army-no doubt we will need it! She says sometimes there are bobcats in the backyard-would love to see that from inside.
She said to order pizza on Sat night as it is a busy hockey day-get this she said to order 2 large and 1 medium PLUS whatever we want-good grief. Glad I am not paying to feed this crew!
