I guess that would fall within the SCOP guidelines, too.
https://www.retailcouncil.org/scanne...accuracy-code/
If scanned, it would show up for $25. However, SCOP only allows for free items under $10. So, I could either get a $10 discount on the $25 value or pay the $5 they allowed. Good suggestion, though. I will keep my eyes open for future signage errors. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I took advantage of SCOP today, I used my bogo Kit Kat coupon from earlier this year. I was saving them for stocking. Sign said 2.00 and they rang up at 2.79. The customer service person did not want to correct the coupons so after the SCOP and the coupons 4 kits kits cost me about 1.00 plus the taxes.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Walmart had Great Value cans of green beans for $0.50 each. I bought 32 and hope to go back for the remaining 24 tomorrow.
As I was bagging them in preparation for a long walk home, I stepped away to grab more bags. A manager walked past and was curious about the 4x bags of bean cans lying on the floor. He called over a department manager, just as I returned to tell him that I was buying them all. The department manager also added, "Oh, we all know that guy. He's the one who runs and carries all his purchases with him." Nice to know that I am known to all the staff. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
I spent yesterday wallowing in my feelings.
I am still not feeling my best, these coughing fits, ugh, but the doc says it is normal and give it time. I get it but patients is not one of my specialities.
I got caught up in something at work again on Friday and it brought up a lot of emotions.
I am just feeling overwhelmed, the house is a disaster, now things are happening at work again, Mom is really struggling the change in weather is really affecting here and honestly, yesterday I kind of felt like I was failing a bit. Why is it always everything at once?
But I let myself wallow yesterday and today is a new day.
Mom wants to work on the freezers but I think we should prep instead. I am not sure how busy I will be this week yet as there are a few things up in the air so I think prepping will benefit us more. I just need to come up with a plan.
Happy Sunday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

I’m sorry you have so much on your plate @SassyAshley
. Healing takes time and PLEASE give yourself grace with everything else. You need to take care of yourself before you can be there for others and that includes work and cleaning.

Woke up at 0900 and threw another NY striploin roast into the oven, before going back to bed. I thought, a couple of hours extra sleep will do the roast just nicely. I woke up at 1200h and checked. I missed the Medium Rare temperature and will have to settle for the (slightly) overdone Medium (but still delicious) target range. Oh, well. I just had a 20oz slice of heaven. Perfect for a nice snowy day.

@SassyAshley when it rains it may pour and here you are caught without a nice waterproof coat or umbrella. Not much to do about
the parts of this that you have little control over. Allow the wallowing to take place up to a point, then start either of the chores ( be it
freezers or prep )just to get the ball rolling. You'll be back up on your horse soon enough. Do horses like rain?
((( hugs to your Mom with her pain )))

A pretty good day. Found 2x packets of pistachio cookies, abandoned by a bum.
Took my receipts back to Sport Chek and got an additional $75 in gift cards. I was going to spend them on a pair of mittens for $80, but found out, at the cash register, that they were on sale for $60. So, I still have $13 left on my card.
Only found 12x more cans of beans, but grabbed them.
RCSS had 2x 1-pound packages of vermicelli noodles for $1 each.
A good day all around. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning! Dry cloudy day to start.... at least it's not raining or snowing yet!
Started work early today since I have a few phone calls to make. One call done and out of the way!
Did shopping yesterday and found some deals. Picked up English muffins for .75C each x 3 ($1.50 sale less 50% off - expire Nov 27th.) Will use one up by then and the other 2 I will cut and put in the freezer today. Pork chops x 2 marked down to $6Kg and 30% sticker off. Cooking those up today and making containers of food for the kids- will add potatoes and veggies (carrots I am thinking to use up the fresh ones!) Will also make some rice to go with it.
Pasta at WM .97C. Lettuce is expensive and looks like crap. Found a 3pk romaine that was nice for $3.97 at WM so grabbed that. Will be good for DS for his work sandwiches and will make taco meat and plan taco night since we have everything else needed.
Gave the fridge a good clean out yesterday. Tossed stuff so need to plan better to use things up. Today I am planning meals around what we have/to use up with no waste. So tacos for sure since we have the lettuce now. Will make a tray of mac and cheese tomorrow I think since we have lots of milk to use up and the cheese/noodles etc. We have shrimp that needs to be used up (so many bags in the freezer and we kind of just stopped eating it.) I should make lots of rice today and then tomorrow make fried rice with shrimp and veggies.
Today- Get work caught up. Do load of laundry and hang to dry (going to try and get this all done caught up by Wednesday) Wash/hang dry/put away!
Continue cleaning master bedroom (Have DS's boxes that I need to go through) Dresser is 80% clean- few things to deal with.
Make dinner containers for kids.
Have a great day!

I had the worst sleep ever last night up at 3.00 a.m ,i think it is my crappy flat pillow, hubby snuck my other pillow that was $50 but i paid $35 at bed bath and beyond last year .
Well i found a canadian company near toronto "canadian down and feather company "It had great reviews and they are on sale black friday and shipping is free,so i ordered one nice pillow for me -sleep is important especially at my age.Merry Xmas to me as hubby and i dont buy gifts for each other anymore. So if i want something i just get it hense cant wait for my new pillow to come.
My brother and my son dropped in today for lunch -i popped over to a local store Zarkys for luncheon meat ,fresh hot meatballs and a salad i made for us.It was all around a nice visit.Last edited by coupon girl; Mon, Nov 25th, 2024 at 07:59 PM.
